Would RecommendWORKS GREAT. GOT IT IN PLACE UNDER HOUSE AND STARTED PUMPING ALOT OF WATER. GREAT PRODUCT FOR LOW AREAS.

Would Not RecommendI bought this a replacement for a pump that failed. The base is plastic but heavy enough to keep it upright. The pump is strong and will move water quickly. The downside and the reason I returned this pump is the float switch. As the water level rose, the switch had a tendency to get caught on the flanges for the housing. If you look at the picture you can see where the screws are located and that they stick out about 3/8" from the body. The motor had stayed on even without water present due to ...

Would Not RecommendMy Utilitech Model PPSP33 sump pump was about 20 months old when the unit failed. I believe the failure occurred internally within the float mechanism. It was quiet and operated smoothly for the first 18 months before failing. I've tested it several times and it will no longer turn on. My sump pit only needs pumping out about 5 days of the year and the water is very low sediment. I'm glad that I kept the prior 10-year old sump pump that was previously in the sump pit. Manual is useless
Would Not RecommendThe major problem with this unit is NOT necessarily the tether float switch (but it is not very good) its the manual. It has no mention of the tether clip (on the side of the pump handle) and it does not explain how to make sure the float is unobstructed. Once I got the cord clipped to the handle so the float could lay flay/horizontal and not be obstructed the pipe output or the walls of the sump it works properly. a good kink in the tether float cord also helps if the float has to be place at a...
