Fails too soon

Only lasted a few years before starting to just blink/flash on-off all night.

Range limit about 15 ft, def not 70 ft

i set this up pointing into my 20 ft deep carport. i can stand 15 ft away and wave my hands, walk around, etc. once i get under 15 ft away it will trigger the light. i have tried different settings and positioning of the light and still same range

Only lasted about 4 weeks then it stays on all the time.

Great, but short-lied!

Worked great for a week or so then bingo! Light stays on constantly - day and night.

Easy installation

This is a great replacement detector when you're current one fails. Great having it shipped to the house and not having too go to store. Easy installation.

not reliable over time with GE LED 90 watt bulbs

I have 2 double floodlights, each one on a different end of the house, with a Utilitech 240 degree motion sensor on each one. When they work, brand new, they are fine detection range wise and duration of time on. Over time (a year or two) performance degrades and LED lamps start blinking a strobe light effect. I have replaced these sensors with the same brand/type at least 2 or 3 times. Even changed LED bulbs 2 or 3 times (supposed to last 22 years......) Wiring could be a little more substantia...

Great replacement

Pretty straight forwrd on wiring.

Seems to work the way it should. Relatively to wire in. Would have been nice if they had provided the pigtail connectors you need. Fortunately I had them. Other than that it seems to be a decent unit and it was new.

Two both failed

I replaced two units. Easy install, confirmed wiring, under test mode worked, but never turned off at night regardless of time set. Electrician felt something was wrong with them, both had same failure. Purchased a different brand online and both lights are working as set. The two ended up in the trash.

Lens Disintegrates

The sensor itself works okay. The problem is the lens. It disintegrates in about a year or so. I've had to replace the first one because of the lens and the second one, and the third one, and I am now going to replace the fourth one with a different brand from another store. One star is too much and I DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend this item.

Motion Detector

The motion detector was to replace the same that I had bought about 5-7 years ago so I'm not really sure how long they are to last but I would think it should be more than that.

Motion sensor replacement

This did what we needed it to, but was a bit challenging figuring out what junction box and cover were needed as ours did not install into a flood lamp. Also, always dim feature is not necessary but unsure how to disable it.

You do not have to buy the entire light fixture.
