Always will recommend

Back when I used cloth diapers around 2014 I learned (and everyone else in the community!) that tide powder is the only thing that *actually* cleans. I’ve never gone back.

Well, I'd give this product 5 stars if they kept on making the old scented detergent that was my all time favorite. The new stuff isn't all that bad, at least I'd certainly buy it over the liquid kind which for certain I'd never buy again.

Saved my stinky washing machine

Around five years after getting my top load washing machine, it started stinking. Bad. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get the smell out. Scrubbing it, hot water rinses, bleach, vinegar, baking soda. None of the normal techniques worked. If you want your stain-free clothes, this is for you

I like this.. It leaves my clothes really white and the dark colors are not affected. The stains come out quickly and without problems. The product dissolves really well. It is easy to use and the dose comes in the package instructions

You’re almost there with the scent

Yeh let’s face it, Tide is the best quality laundry detergent out there. Ten out of ten for cleaning. Smells really pleasant out of the box and while washing. Sadly the only fragrance note leftover on clothes is a strange woodsy note. Tweak the fragrance and tone down that particular fragrance ingredient (or eliminate it), and the scent will be 10/10 as well.

Scent is NOT great

I thought I was going crazy until I read other reviews. I have ALWAYS been impressed with the "clean" from Original Tide. I also enjoyed the smell of my things. I migrated to Tide Free about 10 yrs ago

Shrinkflation!

I appreciate a clean and effective powder option but I noticed my box shrank from 129 to 108 ounces! I will be exploring other brands in the future.

Please bring back the old scent

Why mess with a good thing?

Why mess with a good thing? We’ve used Tide for years. It’s all I grew up on and everybody use to say how great my clothes smelled. Not anymore…the smell of the original scent is awful. Coke found out the hard way back in the 80’s, that if you got a great thing. LEAVE IT ALONE! It’s not rocket science. Cleans clothes great smells great. Bring THAT back! Powder for the Win!

Never going back to liquids, tabs or pods. Why? I did some research and the best format for cleaning clothes and keeping my front loader clean is using powdered laundry detergent. No residue, a Real Clean for my clothes, no heavy scent, dissolves completely, easy to use. My clothes have never been cleaner or looked better. Please don't discontinue the Original Powdered Tide!

Unhealthy

I think the last time you changed Tide powder detergent, the chemicals in tide are so strong they are making womens faces droop. I think your tide interferes with hormones in the body. I wish you would go back to the tide 10- 20 years ago. It worked great then and women in their 40's didnt have so many hormonal problems. Whatever you added in your last powder detergent change was too strong for the human body to detox. We don't need stronger detergents. They work fine, they worked fine 20 years ...

Where has all the powdered Tide gone?

We have used Tide for years. We have not found a local store that even has the large boxes of Tide Original (False advertising!!! It is NOT the great, wonderful original.) powder. Why don't they carry them anymore? We keep using Tide even though you keep changing it, because we can still tolerate the perfumes you use. That doesn't mean we like them, but they don't cause massive allergic reactions like the perfumes in your competitor's products.

New formula is terrible!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The old formula powder original tide was GREAT. The new formula smells like cat urine and they've removed the lipase, so it no longer removes greasy stains, smells and body oil. Can Tide just stop changing everything that's worked for so long?! This used to be my absolute favorite detergent, but the changes they've made had rendered it useless and stinky. They keep going up in price and reducing how well things work.

Tide powder

I wanted to stay away from microplastics from the pods. This powder was the answer. The scent is great and it's highly effective at removing stains. It's an average value for the money.

Cured smelly washer, but don't like the old scent.

We bought powder for the first time in a while to see if it cured a smelly front loader. It did. But, it doesn't smell anything like I remember. Liquid smells so much better. Sigh. Can't win.

The only laundry soap I can use

The real “original Tide” in powder form is the only detergent I’m not allergic to. All liquid laundry soaps give me a rash and I haven’t been able to figure out exactly what ingredient or ingredients cause my horrible reaction. Any box with the OXY label, even in powder form, gives me a violent reaction. I will acknowledge OXY cleans well, but not worth the all over rash. It seems the company keeps trying to “improve” TIDE but I like the TIDE of 25 years ago and wish they’d go back to that.

Miss the old scent

Please give us an option to buy the old scent! I've tried to get used to it, I only use Tide it's the best, but I just can't stand the new smell. And I REALLY miss the old one. I use free and clear now but I'd rather the real original. This is like "New Coke," I'm sure some people like it but others would like the old option back! Again, excellent at cleaning clothes but I can't stand the new smell.
