Pump works well but not big enough for my pond. And the intake valve is so small that it collects debris quickly and needs cleaned every other day...but could be cleanness of my pond. But the water flow is strong when valve is clean.

Would RecommendWorks like a champ as designed but recommend doing a test prior to install to ensure all parts are fitted tightly. It may not want to start initially. Do a bucket test first and this will help prime it.

Would Not RecommendBought the pump 3/26. On 6/9/26 it started making awful humming sounds. It's working but sounds bad. I followed the trouble shooting tips and cleaned the impeller and cleaned the fountain. Still the humming continues. I will be contacting Smartpond about warranty coverage. Very disappointed. Pumps are cheap!

Would RecommendIt’s clearly well-made, and the low water shutoff is great. Most of these small pumps fail because of low water. This is my second purchase. The first one has been running a patio fountain 7x24 for a couple of years. Very reliable and maintenance free. Quiet.
