Would RecommendThis is a good saw for the money. Does not have any special features, but they are not needed. I have had my saw for over 2 years now, and have used it heavily. The only recommendation I would make would be to replace the blade as soon as you get it. The one it comes with will make cuts, but it will not produce quality.

Would RecommendI am not a pro but this seems to be a really good saw for home use. I used it to install a wood floor and it worked out great for my needs. The only thing I noticed is the trigger needs a firm pull to keep the power engaged.

rear bearing gave out
Would Not RecommendWorked fine as a basic saw. But before long the rear bearing came loose, allowing the blade shaft to click back and forth. Still acceptable for rough carpentry, but unacceptable for more precision work (with jigs, etc.)

Would RecommendReally great product for the money. Easily adjustable and holds adjustment both on deck level, and angle. Only downside was the rough cut saw blade that comes with it, and the fact that it doesn't come with a cut guide.

Would Not Recommendive bought more than a few circular saws and have done construction for over 30 years. the bolt that lock the angle came out and wedged in the guard and blade, the locking wing nut was on the ground, good thing it didnt hit me in the eye. ive never, repeat, never had to check to see that the adjustment nuts were tight on a brand new saw. i almost never use a angle cut so that would be the last nut id check, and when checking the depth adjusting nut it was tight. the blade will stop spinning if y...
Understand what you are buying
Would RecommendFor the money this is a decent purchase. Unfortunately, this could have been 100x better if Skil would have considered adding a hand brake to change blades. It has proven very difficult to simply remove blades. If you are ok with that frustration.... This is otherwise a good value.
