Ratings & Reviews for SKIL 15 -Amp 7-1/4-in

Great for hobbyist

I needed to trim down some boards and it worked great. Great price for something I'll use occasionally.

Your Gambling for a Delivery

I wish I could tell you BUT Lowes delivery was missing the item and Lowes does NOT take responsibility for deliveries. This is day 3 and all LOWES wants to do is point fingers at its Outsourced Delivery, leaving me with an EMPTY BAG and no refund. If you buy it at LOWES and have it delivered you are taking on a chance on getting NOTHING !!!! Even if you speak to the Store Manager !!!!!!

Built to last

In replacing our back deck we also needed a new saw to complete our project. We’ve used SKIL products for years and know they are built to last! The consistency of the SKIL products keeps us coming back and with Lowe’s as the seller I know we have professional help if needed.

Beginner-friendly, sturdy, and powerful

This was my first power tool, so I wanted a circular saw that felt solid but was still manageable for a beginner. The SKIL 5280 has worked very well for me. It feels sturdy in the hand. It is not especially light, but it is also not so heavy that I find it difficult to control. I was able to figure out how to use it without much trouble, and the cut quality has been good. I have used it to crosscut shelving and to rip plywood, and it has handled both types of cuts well. It has plenty of power ...

Works great

Great find

We needed a replacement for our old one and this was cost effective and the blade is super sharp and easy to handle.

Great saw!

Great saw! Best bang for the buck! No complaints. 👍

Saw

Very accurate and blade is very sharp good cuts fast

Does not cut square

You get what you pay for. The pluses are is that it is cheap, powerful, and has a laser guide. The negative? It does not cut square when zero'd out. Might be a defect but I think the imprecision reflects its cheapness. Avoid if you want an easy 90 degree cut when the bevel is set to zero. Otherwise, spend money on a DeWalt, Makita, or Matebo.

Great saw

Great little saw. Love the laser guide light.

It's a Skil , after all

Bringing significance back to this brand. Works flawlessly. I don't think I could have a better saw for twice the price. I have ZERO regrets with this purchase.

not very dependable

It has been 17 months since purchase and today something broke inside, maybe a bearing, and the motor made a heck of a racket and froze up. What happened to dependability?

Very Solid Saw

Recently picked up one of these saws for minor cuts here and there. It's easy to adjust, cuts straight and doesn't bog down when cutting thicker materials.
