After less than 2 years, the lid did not open and close automatically. I reached out via the messaging and was able to get the can replaced quickly.

Best Simplehuman So Far

While set up was a little touchy (be sure the lid has enough room to open fully) this has emerged as a nice upgrade for our step 58l that is headed to our cabin after a hinge block replacement. Simplehuman has been great so far and this appears to be to be no exception

Perfect trashcan!

It also fits perfectly in my kitchen and is the perfect size for a two-person household.

Too small & voice activation is horrible

For 325. 00 trash can you would think it would be larger capacity. If i put 2-3 jugs in it its filled up and the voice to open sucks. Just about everytime i have to say open can 3-4 times before it will open and sometimes more than that. . verrry disappointed

Broke within 2 weeks of normal use.

Lid stopped opening. Called support. Did troubleshoot to no avail. Their going to send me another one. Hopefully this one works considering how this is premium priced.

Nice cans !

We have had Simple Human trash cans for 20 plus years and that speaks for itself. We decided to get a motion sensor recycle/trash can this time and we dig it. Getting used to not opening the can has taken some getting used to but we recommend the hands free option.

Love my new little robot

I think my favorite thing about this can is that it is garbage and recycling in one. I previously had a small garbage can and tiny recycling under my sink, which needed to be emptied almost every day, if not every day… which was annoying. Now I can go about a week and that is great for the chores department. I love the voice activated especially when my hands are full/dirty. Great product. 11/10 would recommend!

Officially Ruined Regular Trash Cans for Me 😂

I never thought I’d be leaving a review this excited over a trash can 😂 but honestly this is hands down the coolest trash can I’ve ever owned. Exactly what I wanted to not too big

I definitely need to recycle more, so I do like that there is a recycling side and a trash side. Will also save me from throwing recycling items in the trash. No excuse to save the planet now!

You get what you pay for!

We have had the 58L Sensor Recycler (Black) for a couple of weeks. Exterior design is modern, sleek, fingerprint resistant and adds a sophisticated appearance to the room in which it resides. Voice and motion controls have functioned perfectly per manufacturer instructions. Overall a well made high quality product. As there are always opportunities for improvement, I would like to see the recycler height increased so there is less of a discrepancy between the base of the recycler and countertop....

Doesn’t always work

Often for some reason the command or touch doesn’t work. Also it doesn’t respond to the “stay open” command. Not worth the price compared to the simpler step version (but it was sold out forever in the gold color).
