This caddy is an asset to my kitchen and to composting. It's the perfect size, and I love having bags to keep the container clean. Clean-up after composting is minimal. As a senior, I like how low-maintenance the whole process is.

Doesn't keep out fruit flies

Product description says it keeps pests like fruit flies from being attracted. It does not. It is not airtight and mine has fruit flies swarming around it. It is very attractive, but the product description is not accurate.

Cute on the Counter!

It’s nice to have found a compost container that actually looks attractive. The easy flip top lid makes using it a breeze.

This is a great compost bin. Easy to use, doesn’t smell, and pretty affordable for the quality. Love the compostable liners simple human sells too.

Does a good job keeping odor in.

The lid keeps bad odor in without using a charcoal filter. Very easy to use.

This can fits easily on the side of my waste basket making composting easy for the whole family. No more mess or clutter on my counter. Glad I purchased this can and the corresponding liners.

It’s cute and all but

This is just a plastic bucket inside a metal bucket. It comes with bespoke bags that you have to replace via simple human or go without. That’s fine because the bucket inside the bucket can be washed. But why is there no filter? It did not occur to me to check for that in the product description as I’d expect it with a compost container. So I have a bucket inside a bucket that I have to empty and wash every night. No thanks, for the money I can rig that up with old take out containers

Elegant Addition

First off, it is stunning on the counter. It deserves to be on the counter where it is most helpful. It doesn't look like a compost bin. It works well. No odors have been detected. I love it!

Don't know why I waited so long to purchase. . . I'm so satisfied. This has made composting in NYC so delightful. No more stinky

We also have 50l trash can that would get smelly until I added the sidekick Compost Caddy. So easy to use. Everyone is complying.

Poorly sealed, lots of fruit flies

Looks nice but poorly sealed lid and we got tons of fruit flies right away. Switched to another bin with a carbon filter and tighter lid and no issues

Compared to other compost containers this one is more expensive but has less features. For example, the bin on the inside doesn’t have a handle so you can lift it out easily. And apparently they indicate you should use bags but most compost containers should not need to use bags inside, and the bags needed are wasteful in manufacturing, shipping, etc. Also on the outside there is no handle so that you can lift it and move it to a different part of your counter.
