Bought this compost caddy thinking it would be sleek and easy to use, but the “magnetic seal” does not actually seal. We’ve had it for a couple months now and it is constantly infested with flies.

Looked Great, but Maggots!
We used the bin with the compostable liners and were shock to find that when we went to empty it 8 days later, it was crawling with maggots!

Doesn't keep out fruit flies
Product description says it keeps pests like fruit flies from being attracted. It does not. It is not airtight and mine has fruit flies swarming around it. It is very attractive, but the product description is not accurate.

It’s cute and all but
This is just a plastic bucket inside a metal bucket. It comes with bespoke bags that you have to replace via simple human or go without. That’s fine because the bucket inside the bucket can be washed. But why is there no filter? It did not occur to me to check for that in the product description as I’d expect it with a compost container. So I have a bucket inside a bucket that I have to empty and wash every night. No thanks, for the money I can rig that up with old take out containers

Great Little Guy
Don't know why I waited so long to purchase. . . I'm so satisfied. This has made composting in NYC so delightful.
