Cooktop sharp

This product is very efficient and practical to operate. It is also easy to keep clean.

A year and change and the unit went bad, lock light just glows dim and no other buttons function, no way to reset. I called Sharp, they said one year warranty no exceptions. Spend more money and get a more reliable brand. This is my third attempt at submitting a review, we will see if this one makes it through.

Absolute Garbage

I bought this for the clean appearance and modern styling. After a year and change the control panel lock light came on and the unit was dead. Tried everything to reset it but to no avail. I just got off the phone with Sharp (maddening conversation but that’s another story), only one year warranty. Buy something of higher quality and save yourself the headache.

Easy to use cooktop

Love the look and how easy to control the heat with the touch of your finger.

The delivery went well.

The delivery guys were very nice and courteous. I instaled the stove top and it works great.

Way too complicated to use

Too many button presses required to boil water: 1. turn on unit 2. select burner 3. select Power Boil 4. slide to desired post-boil power level 5. select burner again to confirm Other digital units work like this: 1. select desired burner temperature I had to train my family how to use it and we were all dumbfounded at how Sharp overcomplicated a cooktop.

Poor product - Disappointed

The Sharp cooktop lasted just a shade over one year. When I tried to have Sharp fix it they claimed the cutout in the countertop was too big causing the unit to not work, ignoring the fact it had worked for a year before breaking. The product seems poorly designed. Very disappointed in this Sharp cooktop and the repair "support" following the units malfunction. Would not recommend this product at all.

It is too hot outside . I do not recommend to buy it . Lowe’s do not accept after 48 hours return

The simple and elegant design.

In the beginning hard to function but once you learn how to work it; it becomes a pleasure using it.

Good for the money, but has some design issues IMO

We are relatively happy with this cooktop, but there were a few items which could be improved IMO: Cons: - the unit we received from Lowes was 2 years old. That's a long time to sit in storage. Hopefully the temperature and humidity were well controlled so we do not have issues later. - the main burner is in the back. It is difficult to see inside a large pot. - the wiring cable was attached at the front of the unit, which required special hangers to allow the drawer below to close - a stick...

Ask for explicit instructions before leaving

I am not impressed with the digital buttons. It is too many steps just to turn the temp up or down. Turning off the stove just to set the temperature is ridiculous. And it only gives you 10 seconds to learn how to work everything before it just shuts off. Will never purchase a stove top without knobs again.

Not Friendly at All

Very difficult to operate
