Fragrance done right

I love the scent of lavender in this product. It is pure essential oil. It does a good job of cleaning and I like the non toxic properties. So many other products miss the mark with cheap and overwhelming fragrances.

Wow!

I have sensitive skin. For years, I used Free and Clear detergent but I missed that lavender smell. I tried using gentle scent beads, but they made me break out. I stumbled onto this brand and I was amazed. It smells like essential oils, not chemicals- reminds me of my grand mother. It leaves things feeling stripped and clean, although I like to add a splash of vinegar too. The price isn't offensive, either. Disappointed

Bought this plastic jug of laundry detergent locally when I ran out of Tru Earth ultra concentrated Eco-Strips, which I buy online and love using. (I did use Seventh Generation products for YEARS before I found a better alternative WITHOUT PLASTIC.) So now I have 90 ounces of this liquid detergent, and can’t even find the line inside the cap to measure the correct amount for my washing machine.

Great detergent, design of cap is poor.

Love the detergent, but the cap does not contain any measurement lines. So the instructions that say to Measure to line 3 for medium loads are kind of useless.

Flawed new cap!

Your new cap is a fiasco! I'm taking the time to write this because I love this detergent. But the current cap, sadly, is a deal breaker. I have to wipe detergent off the cap each time. Otherwise it drips down the side (see photo) and builds up around the top--leaving a sticky mess on the shelf and my hands the next time I grab the bottle.

Please Bring Back the Old Cap!

I love this detergent and have used it for years, but the design of the new cap is so terrible that you have to wonder who thought it to be a good idea? It drips like crazy and I have to clean it every time I do laundry. I'll be buying a different brand from now on.

The cap is horrible

I've used this laundry for several years and have in the past loved the product. It works well in both scented and unscented versions. However, the new cap is TERRIBLE. Please please please bring back the the old cap. The new cap pours from the inside rim and the outside rim and drips EVERYWHERE. I will be buying different brands until this cap is fixed. The old caps worked absolutely perfectly. PLEASE FIX THE CAPS.

This laundry detergent used to be ok but now it has changed. And not for the better. The lid leaks everywhere and the new formula… it gave my friend and allergic reaction. I am mad and will not be using this brand again.

Detergent does the job, but the new cap is a mess!

This detergent does the job and I've been using it for years, but like other reviews, this updated green cap is a pain. I can't see the line markings on the lid because it's green: I could see the lines when the cap was clear. Also, the cap makes it all a MESS! Why change the design when you had it right, Seventh Generation? It's as if they update design without actually trying it themselves. I hope they see these reviews and change it back!

New Formula is causing a reaction for me

Have used this product for over a decade, my favorite detergent by far until now. The new green cap isn't what's bothering me though - it's the subtle, unannounced formula change which is causing an allergic reaction for me. I am covered in hives.

Terrible new Green cap!

New green cap is the worst design I’ve ever seen. Whoever thought this cap was an improvement ought to be fired. Green cap leaks, has no measurement lines - and if I’m supposed to be removing the two parts of the green top, it is impossible to do so. I have arthritis (maybe your designer should have considered this). I’ve purchased Seventh Generation laundry detergent for years; however, I won’t buy it again. So goodbye to your product and its terrible packaging design.

Horrible New Green Cap

I have used this detergent for quite some time and been happy with it. However, the new green cap is absolutely terrible...bad enough for me to switch to a different product. The instructions say to fill to "Line 3" or "Line 5" and there is not a "Line 3" or "Line 5" on the cap. There aren't any measuring lines on the cap...so no clue how much to add to the laundry. It took a little while but I'm happy I finally got my free samples! I was really excited to try this really positive kind loving brand. Clean and soft

Laundry Detergent - Fresh Lavender Scent. First free sample received and tested. I found the lavender fragrance light and the clothes felt soft. The idea of ​​being a plant-based detergent positively surprised me. I would love to test more Seventh Generation products.
