Door handle was broken off on arrival.

Bank Safe Deposit Box Replacement

My bank raised its safe deposit box rates, so I decided i needed a heavy duty, fireproof, waterproof, home safe that could accommodate valuables and important papers. I'm very happy with my purchase. My only tiny concern is... in the event of a fire I would prefer the dial be made of metal. I haven't seen any information how the current dial fares in a fire. I also wanted a safe with a long lifespan, so I decided to get a manual dial. Overall would definitely recommend.

Lowes sent wrong safe

Lowes sent a .8 cubic foot safe and i bought and paid for a 2.0 cubic foot safe. Now they want me to return it or ship it back and try again. Incompetent service.

Good safe, would not buy from Lowe

Safe is heavy and built well. The handle is a little weak, feels like if you push down too hard to open it could potential break. Good space inside and the shelf’s work well. Buy somewhere else. First came damaged, second came damaged. Lowes was incredibly difficult to produce a return label and set up a pick up for return due to size and weight. They did not want to set up a pick up and said I had to take to a store to return and it does not fit in my car. Bought from competitor who price mat...

Dented Heavily

I did an in store pickup for this safe and got a crumpled corner and a wierd dent on the side. Seems to be far too common with this item as I check through the reviews. Did in store pickup so they loaded it and I had a buddy help me get it down and brought it in on a furniture dolly. Now the fun of getting it loaded back up and to the store for the return. Definitely not worth it.

Unacceptable damage

This was a second delivery/exchange of a similar item that showed up with damage. This one had significant, unacceptable damage on the corners, which seemed like the safe had been dropped onto those corners. The safe never should have left the warehouse in this condition, and wasted my time (again!) waiting on a delivery that could not be accepted. Very disappointed in Lowes and this safe.

Safe OK/Lowe's not

Safe is fine, but Lowe's has misrepresented the product in it's description. You can not choose your own 1-8 digit combination. You can only pick a 5 digit combination. They also imply that if you do not register your combination, Sentry will not know it, but the original factory combination is never deleted, meaning they have it forever, even if you do not want them to have it, it is NOT your choice as they imply. I had a heavy item shipped and it arrived exactly on time.

The safe is great. Don’t buy it from Lowe’s.

Be wary of the warnings about defects upon delivery. I ordered this safe online to be delivered and when it arrived, the entire back left corner was dented as if the driver or the warehouse team dropped it on the ground. When I called Lowe’s Customer Service, they said I would have to take it into the store to get an exchange as they could not (would not) schedule a pickup and exchange. Buy the safe. Don’t buy it from Lowe’s.
