Unacceptable damage

This was a second delivery/exchange of a similar item that showed up with damage. This one had significant, unacceptable damage on the corners, which seemed like the safe had been dropped onto those corners. The safe never should have left the warehouse in this condition, and wasted my time (again!) waiting on a delivery that could not be accepted. Very disappointed in Lowes and this safe.

Safe OK/Lowe's not

Safe is fine, but Lowe's has misrepresented the product in it's description. You can not choose your own 1-8 digit combination. You can only pick a 5 digit combination. They also imply that if you do not register your combination, Sentry will not know it, but the original factory combination is never deleted, meaning they have it forever, even if you do not want them to have it, it is NOT your choice as they imply. I had a heavy item shipped and it arrived exactly on time.

The safe is great. Don’t buy it from Lowe’s.

Be wary of the warnings about defects upon delivery. I ordered this safe online to be delivered and when it arrived, the entire back left corner was dented as if the driver or the warehouse team dropped it on the ground. When I called Lowe’s Customer Service, they said I would have to take it into the store to get an exchange as they could not (would not) schedule a pickup and exchange. Buy the safe. Don’t buy it from Lowe’s.

It seems to be well-constructed with ample room for our documents. I did research and compare it to other safes and this had very high ratings. The price was fair and delivery was quick and easy.

A $400 useless box of steel

I bought the 2cu ft Sentry Safe online and it was delivered by FedEx. I normally don't read reviews about damaged goods in shipping as that's not about the product. What I am totally ticked off about however, is the total lack of ownership. Lowe's has made the damage totally my problem. I've been told there's no option to have it picked up and that I must take the 140 pound safe to the local store for a refund. This is a Great Product

1. Use only Energizer Max AAA batteries. The others don't work well. 2. The plastic battery tray seems flimsy but one shouldn't have to mess with it much.

Safe Smells Horrible

I first bought the smaller version of this safe. the back right corner was caved in. folded in like a belly button, with a massive gap in the safes exterior where the metal was so bent. The inside of the safe smelled HORRIBLE. This weird chemical smell. I even wiped it out with lysol wipes and it still smelled. It made everything in there stink so bad. VR headset. Great product!

We're very happy so far with our XXL Sentry Safe! Our old Sentry Safe is 14 years old and still works great! Only suggestion I have is they need to work with their shipper, UPS, to stop damaging the safes while they're in transit. 1st one was damaged severely and had to be replaced. The replacement was also damaged but not as severely.

Nice small safe for docs

Was told delivery would be Sunday. Waited all day and then got alerted it would be Monday. Just wish they originally told me Monday do I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Product is perfect for what I need. Docs, titles to cars. It’s sturdy and meets fire, water codes. Don’t like how stiff the combo dial is, and it’s hard plastic-wish if we’re a steel dial- guess that’d make it too pricey.
