Great deal and a great price.

Color washed out overnight with one rain event.

I bought 21 bags of black and there is absolutely no black color the day after I put it down. Color completely washed away! I’m so disappointed! It was easy to see where I stopped and started the next day. The mulch from last fall is darker after the winter! It also created a very matted down texture which might be good for weed control and retaining moisture. First time I’ve used Scotts mulch, assumed it was best brand name product.

Scotts Mulch

I purchased 10 bags of Scotts Nature Scapes Best Mulch black mulch. I put it down around my front bushes today. I do this every year. This is the first time that I was displeased with the product. It contained pieces of metal, trim from a house and one bag was all moldy. Now I wonder if it contained termite eggs. I pay extra for Scotts and don’t expect poor quality. Black Mulch

Color didn't last two days, don't waste your money.

Very disappointing

I bought the NatureScapes mulch because I relied on the quality name Scott’s. I will NEVER buy this product again. The quality was the worst I’ve ever encountered. Big chunks of material that present a very messy appearance that makes me sad I wasted my money. Buyer beware.

Coarse ground mulch. “B” stock?

Product was ok. I bought It during the 5 for $10. sale. The mulch was not ground as finely as the previous bags I purchased last month. It was apparent that Lowes needed to get rid of these. Scott’s is still a great product but I feel that Lowes should have advertised this as a B stock coarse ground version rather than jeopardize Scott’s great name.

Color guard?

I purchased this mulch several years ago and the color lasted for 2 seasons. This time it faded after the first rain. I don’t mind paying a little more for a better product but this isn’t.

The mulch was delivered on time and really looks great. This mulch really goes a long way.

color isn't right

THis is a black mulch. Packaging shows Brown, but it is not brown by any means; not even a little close... Black.

Don’t buy it

This is filthy dirty mulch! I found many pieces of metal and plastic In it I think it was made from a scrap yard!

Literally garbage

This product contains a lot of plywood and OSB chunks. Totally unacceptable.

Good quality

Purchased 9 bags of mulch and had no problems, the color looks great and the shreds were a good size. The only complaint was the mold in one if the bags, but these bags had been sitting in my garage for about little over a month. Overall good product, thinking about purchasing 50 bags soon to finish up my yard.

Scotts Sierra Red Mulch do not purchase

We purchased 30 bags of this trash based on the name Scotts and Lowes. Terrible product , after one day it turns brown. i could have gone into the woods and bagged up the same crap.

Disastrous color

I purchased 75 bags of Scott's red mulch. Half of the bags were a mixer of red and black mulch. Ugh! Highly dissatisfied.

Must be April Fools

Firstly, upon purchasing 25 bags of the sierra red 2cu ft bags (total 50cu ft, total ~1.8 cu yards); after loaded, I noticed they loaded 1.5 cu ft bags, and proceeded to inform me that even though Lowes site indicated it was in stock, they "have had many customers ask, but necer had it in stock from Nature Scapes." So that's about 1/2 cu yard less than advertised. But now the kicker.... at least 10 bags had large chunks of white moldy mulch, and if that's not a reaso to stay away, there is abso...

Inconsistent color

First time I have every purchased and installed mulch. Purchased this mulch because of name recognition and loved it. The color was a rich brown. However I install approximately 30 bags but needed more. Approx a week later realized I needed about 5 more bags. The color was dull and dusty brown/black. It may be the reason the mulch was on sale. Would advised shoppers purchased everything you need at once and if it’s on sale it’s too good to be true.....

Mold

This is to the moldest mulch I’ve ever gotten! Color already fading.
