Scott's Elite?

Just don't buy these. Cheaply made junk. After a few years they are simply stuff that will be thrown away. At the current price point (>$180), buy an Echo or Earthway. Mine has had the Edge Guard cable break after 2 years of use (2-3 uses/year) and the gear box is now not working. This thing has about 15 bags of 40 lb of fertilizer on it and about 10 bags of Barricade. Buying this is like lighting your money on fire. Mine is heading to the curb. You've been warned.

Worst Spreader Brand and Spread

This spreader is junk. I have used it less than a dozen times and it doesn't work. The gates won't open and the unit itself cannot be re-calibrated. Scotts is less than helpful. Stay far away from this spreader

Works well, easy assembly

Used this at a job at a golf course and had to get one for myself to use at home

Gets the job done

Easy to assemble. Still honing in on the settings, but it was a much-needed upgrade. Lawn is pretty flat, so not sure how well it would work on sloped/bumpy terrain.

Lifetime warranty not honored

The page clearly listed this spreader has lifetime warranty. My wheel felt off and I thought I would be covered. However, the Scotts customer representative said the warranty is only one year, despite of what's listed. I brought this spreader because I thought Scotts would stand by their products, and unfortunately this is not the case.

Frustrated

This product works great. The edge guard feature is nice to have. But, if anything breaks, there are no replacement parts available. I have had mine for three or four years and it probably used it less than 10 times. The feeder selection cable has broken and I can’t buy a new one. Therefore, I must buy a whole new fertilizer spreader. The Customer Service from Scott’s is pathetic. You are only able to talk to AI and then wait three days to hear from a real person. I have bought nothing but Scott...

Really like this spreader. After borrowing my brothers I had to go out in and get this one. I’ve used it to spread seed, fertilizer, Pelletized lime and pet safe ice melt. Spreads evenly and at a proper pace. I like the ability to keep from wasting product on the drive way and sidewalk with the edgeguard feature. It has a wide variety of spread options for different uses and speeds. Great all around product that can handle the weight.
