Bad batch?
I used this product last year and it worked very well. The one I purchased this year did not attract ANY yellow jackets. I placed it exactly 20 feet from a nest as instructed. I am not sure why it did not work. I used a different t product nearby and there are yellow jackets inside that one. Maybe it was a bad batch.
Hung it in the afternoon near a fountain buzzing with yellow jackets. Next day there were maybe 10 wasps trapped. And THAT IS IT!!! They fly right by the thing all day with no interest in it at ALL! The "attractant" isn't attracting! I put some KoolAid powder in the bag, to see if that makes any difference... At least some started flying around the mouth of the trap, haven't seen any enter. It's supposed to be good for 14 days. I don't think it made 14 hours!
