The rug pad fits perfectly under the rug! It has good grip as the rug has not moved at all since being put down in a high traffic area. It is thick enough but not so thick that I can feel where it ends under the rug.

Not for area rugs where dogs or kiddos run
Would Not RecommendThese will not prevent slippage of area rugs if there are dogs or kids running over them. I got them to put under green turf rugs in our training area, but they made very little difference when my pup was running or playing. Now I use them under area rugs where my pup doesn't have access.
