This "brand X" - although it did indicate that it was a Lowes product. This socket did not even have a screw terminal for either the supply or return terminal. Not The "3-Way" I Thought
I purchased this to replace a lamp socket that burned out in a lamp that had low, medium, and high settings (what I thought was referred to as "3-way"). The instructions included with this state “Product is intended for controlling itself and one additional keyless incandescent lamp socket.” Sure enough, this didn't function properly with the 3-way bulbs, and would only turn the bulb on or off. I feel like this product is not named correctly, or needs better labeling. I'm just a DIYer though...
