Ratings & Reviews for Project Source 1-gallon Plastic Black Paint bucket Lid(s) Included

What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these plastic containers for eliminating rust problems that plagued traditional metal cans. Most highlight the rust-free durability, convenient storage for leftover paint, and practical pour spout design. Many switched specifically because old metal containers rusted from inside out, and they appreciate the long-lasting plastic alternative. Reviewers frequently transfer paint from larger containers into these smaller sizes for easier touch-ups and storage. The integrated pour spout delivers mess-free pouring, and the lid seals well to preserve paint quality. A few mention minor issues like tight seals or narrow spout openings, but these rare concerns barely diminish the strong overall satisfaction and repeat-purchase intent.

Would RecommendDurable little bucket. I drilled a hole in the bottom and used it to hook up a "water bag" set up to feed a small tree I recently planted. This was less expensive and better looking in my yard, than a floppy tree bag.

Nice paint storage
Perfect for keeping your extra paint
The product was what I needed for the right price
The lid does not have an airtight seal so you can’t store anything inside that could dry out.

Plastic paint storage can
These plastic containers help me keep small amounts of paint I use for touch up and get rid of the gallon cans which are prone to rust due to humidity as my paint is stored in a non-climatized garage. Plastic cans obviously don’t rust!
Works pretty well for the money

Not good put polyurethane in it and it swelled and cover would not stay on
Transfer paint from old beat up can to this!
Would RecommendReplaced an old paint can with a rusty beat up lid, and salvaged the paint. The can was pricy, but overall, this was a less expensive option than purchasing a new can of paint.

Seals great

Spout cap does not seal.
Would Not RecommendAvoid this product. The plastic cap threads are too fine and too few to securely fasten the cap to the lid. The cap can pop off if the can lid if the can is tipped over. It has a very poor seal and there’s a good chance your paint will dry out. Just buy a metal can and go on with your life.
