Faulty product
Would Not RecommendI installed this grab bar according to the instructions and tested it by giving it a firm pull after it was securely anchored to the wall. During that test, the silver mounting plate (the piece with the screw holes) separated from the grab bar itself. I was surprised it came apart so easily, especially since a grab bar is rated for 500-Lb.

Easy to install and sturdy
Would RecommendThis product was very easy to install. It is very sturdy. I was only able to install one side into a wall stud. Trust I tried but the builder of the house did not center the studs on 16 inch centers and I was angling the grab bar. Nonetheless, there are many holes in the mounting plate and I was able to put five screws in the side where the stud was and another four in the other side with anchors into the drywall. It was a very solid installation.
