1/2 inch less on both sides.
Would Not RecommendThis filter measures 19.5" x 24.5" x 1", which is 1/2 inch smaller on both dimensions than the advertised size. It fit too loosely in my AC vent, so I will be returning it. The other filter sizes I purchased were only 1/4 inch smaller, as stated in the product description, and fit as expected.

Would RecommendThis has great filtration and easy airflow. I feel that it keeps more dust out of the air than other brands which is great because I have a dust allergy. The Lifespan is hard to say because I change my monthly whether it is needed or not. Extremely easy installation, there are arrows to tell you how to put them in. This is they only brand I buy.
