Would RecommendThey’re screws. They are metal, with threads with fancy paint. When screwed into wood they are to hold it in place, so far my plywood is still in the place I used these screws. Phew. Couldn’t have done it without them.

Would RecommendI bought these about a month ago for a project I had. I couldn't be happier that I did. They go through the wood easily, grip great and holds the two pieces together with ease. Also countersink just enough for the paint to cover it up.
These are not good
Would Not RecommendThese 3 inch screws have threads that are way too far up the shaft. When screwing 1 1/2 inch wood down you are forced to countersink the screw like half an inch before it bites and draws the board tight. I have not had any strip out. Out of about 600 I have broken 2 so that's pretty good percentages. They do tend to cause the wood to split. Other brands seem superior with drawing the wood tight and not causing splitting. I would have returned them but realized too late that this was an issue.
