Works like a champ

Brand new user, needed a compressor and chose this one. Have owned other PC tools and always been pleased. Unit is easy to set up and use. Powered right up and pressurized straight away. Aired up all my vehicle tires and tested a few air tools, all good. Made sure to drain the tank completely. Looking forward to owning and using another solid PC tool.

Durable Dependable

My compressor was bought as part of a package along with 2 nail guns,, nailguns are still in the box, but the compressor has been in the driveway or in the work truck for over a year, and although I have done little other than abuse this unit it has not let me down. My fleet of utility trailers in the oilfield have either 4 or 6 12 ply tires and require 70 to 80 lbs to be safe so far this piece of equipment has not let me down,, plenty of power and a convenient size that fits in my crew cab bac...

Repeat performance

Purchased today to replace the Porter Cable predecessor that lasted at least 15 years. It is quieter and higher quicker pressure. Great values form this company. I have several products and love them all for the quality. I am a moderate user.

Pretty Easy for a Rookie

Did my homework and decided on PorterCable mostly from referrals. Did not need a large unit and was budget minded. This pancake was really the answer. I use it primarily to clean up my RC model after a bashing. Easy to setup, Easy to use and Easy to store away!! I recommend this pancake to any DIY or Hobby enthusiast.

Take care of it it takes care of me.

I have this lil Guy Over 5 years and here’s what I think causes many there headaches. ) I’ve always released air fully after use. Gotta tip it get rid of any condensation. I get the feeling most problems people have with these would be do to not following those 2 simple enough instructions (in the manual). I have treated tool well and Tool has treated me well over the years. Hope that helps someone.

Terrible website link for information

Trying to use the online format to read the manual for my air compressor which I just bought today. I get thrown to Service net....I then have to try to get around a Dewalt tool sales pitch.

Works as expected

So far I have had this for at least 3 years, I use it to pump up tires and clean off random things. For the above, it has worked as expected, I have had 0 issues. I have not used this for air tools or paint systems, if this is what you are using it for, I am of no help.

Does not shut off, keeps running

I bought this about a year ago and the pump has always had a problem shutting off when it reaches 150 PSI. It just keeps running. To make matters worse, the link for the owners manual on the Porter Cable website does not work, there is no owners manual at the location linked on Porter Cable’s website.

For the price, it's really great

I bought this compressor ten years ago, and use it on a weekly basis for any number of DIY projects. It's by no means designed for heavier work, but I have lacquered cabinets with HVLP guns, used brad nailers and staplers, kept my tires inflated and used it to blow out dust in all my tools. I had to replace the water valve at the bottom after 5 years as it had begun to rust . Otherwise, it has given me no issues, and has been very reliable.

Terrible Compressor

The internal pressure regulator broke. It's a small plastic piece designed to fail. I looked up online and everybody has the same issue. The pressure regulator stops working so the unit doesn't operate.

Top notch compress that has served me well

I bought this for work with my fixerupper home and it has served me well. It charges up upon activation and provides a consistent amount of pressure for the various attachments I have for trim or other finishing work. It does what it needs to do and is good for the value.

Owners Manual

It is almost impossible to get to an owners manual for this compressor that I can print out!!!!! Otherwise it is a good product.

Has worked great for 6 years running

I've been using my pancake for finish carpentry projects for 6+ years. Bought this item because I needed one in a pinch.

Great product until…

I've been very happy with this unit, since it has suited my DIY needs perfectly, but yesterday – 18 days before the 3-year warranty is up – I turned it on and heard air leaking from the hose beneath the gauges. We'll see how the warranty repair goes, but be forewarned: it may not last past its warranty without needing a fix. And I really didn't use it that often.

bad out of box

Just received this brand new in the box. Plugged it and unit will not build up any pressure, it appears there is air coming out from on top of the unit. Nearest town is 2 hours away as I live in the back country of Idaho so I guess I will call on Monday to see if I can get a replacement. This is my first Porter product and I'm not impressed.

Awesome compressor

I bought one a few yrs ago and it works great, got this one because it go to 150psi, I needed a second so I got another one. Works great every day. I will say my first one only gets to about 140 now but I’m only using for nail guns so it’s ok. I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews I’ve used prob 4 of these and all work great. If it’s DOA return it. Also most forget when your done with it all compressors should be emptied before storage or daily use. Don’t leave under pressure for long periods of t...
