POOR Quality.......

This item was a piece of junk. It worked off and on for five years. It had to be unjammed several times with the awkward tool that only Moen disposals use and had to be purchased separately. Finally the motor seized, which I guess is common to this type of motor and the item was scrapped.

Mown 1/3 HP Disposal

I purchased this as a replacement for a worn out disposal (14 years old) and had Lowe’s install it - installation took 20 minutes.

A major disappointment

Failed in less than two years. This Moen GXP33C was properly installed and used under normal household conditions. It suddenly stopped working and will not reset. For the price and for a brand like Moen, this kind of lifespan is unacceptable. A garbage disposal should last far longer than this. Very disappointed and would not purchase again.

Need a special wrench if clogges

You know when your disposal clogges every now and again and hums? Remember how easy it was to take the Allen wrench to the bottom? Yeah, not moen. You need a special tool to unjam it from the top that the big box stores don't sell and you'll be buying off of the big online seller.

I have had 4 disposals installed in the past 30 years. When remodeling our current house, the contractor talked me into getting a new disposal, eventhough the one that was installed was only 5 years old and had another 5 years left on the warranty. What a mistake! This one constantly freezes up! I was told that we needed to run it every few days to keep it from freezing up. My husband could not get it unfrozen this time. We are replacing this useless piece of a garbage disposal with Insinkerato...

Jammed fast. Can't fix

Jammed for a couple months. Installed 2/14/23. I have two sinks in my kitchen and this disposal get used very little. I tried to unjam with a wooden spoon. Did nothing but to mess up the spoon. Called Moen. They sent the unjamming tool which is used from the top. I tried in both directions quite a few times. Frozen fast. Removed the rubber insert and used a high intensity flashlight to look for anything that might be causing the jam. Ran a wooden shish kabob stick around the outside. Can see not...

Worst garbage disposal ever.

This unit came with our new house. It’s already locked up 3 times in under 3 weeks from very lite use. Don’t waste your money on it.

Check dishwasher drain

No we're did I fine in the instructions telling you to check the dishwasher drain plug. Have to remove an reinstall unit. After removing white hard plastic plug from drain hole.

We replaced the old disposal when we replaced the cabinets. Our plumber recommended this model. Three years later it ceased to operate. One call to Moen and we were sent a replacement within a week. Performs quietly and efficientyl.
