It’s just okay.

I bought this recently and it works well. It isn’t as quiet as I hoped it would be. Also, the rubber stopper is great so things can’t slip into the hole, but in order for it to bring the food you have to push the contents in it before running it.

Assume new disposal- lighter, faster, easy install

Bought recently to replace a very heavy 10 year old disposal. This unit is much light for the same house power. The power cord and dishwasher connection are included. Relatively easy install. Works well. Easy to inspect and clean if needed.

Easy to install.

This was my first garbage disposal installation and it was very simple.

Very loud. Manual pictures don't match included parts. There was no fiber gasket included. When it starts there's a horrible metal clinking sound every time. Also did I say it's very loud?

Instructions are a little confusing

I liked the 3/4 horsepower relative to the price. The 10 year warranty is significant. The pictures in the instructions made it a little confusing to install correctly but I eventually figured it out. This disposal went in our rental property and after it was hooked up and operating it I thought the 3/4 horsepower would have sounded a little more robust than it does but I have no way of measuring the actual horsepower output. Great Value

This unit is so quiet when it operates and is much more compact than our previous disposal. The installation was so simple!

4* only due to loudness and directions

Directions are very hard to follow. After install and using it we have found that it is very loud. But it does its job.

Lasted 2 years... feels like I spent longer on hold with Moen customer service trying to figure out the warranty.

Moen garbage disposal

To early to tell how good it will be so rating could go up or down BUT it is so loud! I really normally don’t care and so when I read some reviews that said it was loud, I really wasn’t that concerned but this is so loud it sounds like it’s broke or grinding up a fork when it’s turned on even before anything is being ground up!

Challenging to Install

The installer says that many of the garbage disposals he's installed, come in one piece. So he's able to install those garbage disposal in the space of an hour. But our particular garbage disposal package came in multiple pieces. That's one of the factors that caused the installation to take hours. I should add that our installer has decades of experience. This unit is quiet than our previous 3/4 horsepower garbage disposal.

very very loud

i bought and installed this disposal myself and I have never heard one this loud in my life, the 25-year-old 3/4 Kenmore disposal i replaced was two thirds Quiter than this and made of metal also heavier. this unit is plastic, and you can lift it with one hand. I wish I would have taken more time and shopped around but my wife thinks it might be a bad unit and i was waiting to see if it quieted down because it's only been a week since installed.

Terrible Product / Dishonest Warranty

Installed the Moen 3/4HP disposal in November 2021 after over 15 years of service with low-end Insinkerator. Repeatedly freezing of unit (not jamming since there was nothing in it to jam), purchased special wrench to unstick the thing. It finally gave up in August 2025 and refused to unstick. Called Moen and they said they do not warranty "jammed". I'm going back to Insinkerator.
