Would Not RecommendWords cannot explain just how terribly disappointed I am with this product. I have used Miinwax stains and polys for years but only with natural wood stains. This stuff not only doesn't work IMO, it ruined five red oak boxes that I made. I applied it just as described. Rubbing it in as best that I possibly could after using a foam brush to lay it on as thin as possible. An interesting and colorful stain
Would RecommendThis is a bit thicker than normal stain, and the color is pretty vibrant. It's still a stain, but has more paint like thickness. I think it looks great on maple, but keep in mind that it's going to be a golden color, not the orangish brown on the photo.

Would RecommendI had Sherwin Williams paint store custom mix and match the color of my oak flooring. I made hickory window sills and oak frame for a wall mounted tv. The stain felt a bit thick to apply. I use a staining cloth foam pad to apply. I let it set for 5 minutes (set a timer) then I wiped off the access, which took a little elbow grease. I did apply a prestain to the hickory but not to the oak. I think I will apply the prestain to the rest of my trim. I have to say the color match was perfect. The s...
