Terrible product
Would Not RecommendI have used Minwax water based poly for many years and lots of projects. The Lowe’s paint department rep told me about the Max product so I thought I would give it a try based on her recommendation. It ruined a very nice bench top for a built in halltree. It is impossible to keep a wet edge across even a small area and even with a high quality brush it leaves brush marks that don’t flow out. Would Not Recommendi bought a can of MINWAX., POLYCRYLIC MAX at lowes two days ago. when i opened it up, i noticed a portion of the product was missing. when i went to stir it, there were large chunks semi hard white matter stuck to the bottom with small white matter stuck to the sides and top . i attempted to stir it in hopes the chunks would dissolve. after several minutes, about 90 percent did dissolve, but the product still had small particles still left mixed within the can. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT
Would Not RecommendThis product ruined my project. Refinishing an old desk and got it all ready for the final step. Chose this and it was like glue putting on, dried so fast I couldn't keep up with the drips and it ruined my project, have to start over.

Dries to fast
Would Not RecommendThis is terrible to get to flow out no matter what you do. At 80 degrees it dries by the time you get a 3” brush stroke 4’ long. I took it into the air conditioning to let it cool off. Not much difference. I’ve finish a lot of wood and can not recommend this. Have to sand it off and use a different one. Same with the stain finish combo.
