What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this gel stain for exceptional ease of application, with no drips, clean wiping, and a pudding-like consistency that stays where applied. The rich, dark finishes—particularly deep chocolate tones—deliver stunning results often in just one coat, effectively hiding imperfections and working over existing finishes. Many reviewers highlight professional-looking outcomes even for beginners using rags instead of brushes, especially on intricate surfaces like cabinets and banisters. The durable, hand-rubbed appearance holds up well over time. A few users mention strong odor or consistency concerns, but most consider this their go-to product for all future wood projects.

Gel stain that produced the color I needed.
Would RecommendI needed a stain for a curved bar stool that sat more on top of the wood and maintained its color more. This gel stain worked perfectly.

Pleasantly Surprised
Would RecommendI bought a mid-century house, and I used this gel stain to refinish some cabinets and a door without sanding down, etc. It turned out great and a quart of this for $25 went a long way. I still have some leftover. I would recommend.
