Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the exceptional finish, durability, and ease of application. Most highlight the beautiful, smooth coat that enhances wood and resists scratches, with professional results lasting years. Many appreciate how quickly it applies and dries—often requiring just two coats—and levels out without brush marks. However, some report strong, lingering odor requiring ventilation, and a few note concerns about formulation changes or inconsistent product quality. Despite these drawbacks, most customers consider it a reliable, trusted choice for wood finishing projects.

Would RecommendBeen with Lowes for over 30 years. I ordered a gallon of CLEAR GLOSS but when I open the box it is a gallon of clear SATIN that I needed for a job tomorrow "Oh we're so sorry blah blah but when I tell them I need the correct product TODAY they tell me "nothing we can do". Meantime I have to tell the customer I can't do the job. If this is the way they want to treat their LOWES PROS then perhaps I need to focused more on the Orange store

quick dry
Would RecommendI'm very pleased with this polyurethane. It dries smooth, quickly. I stay off of it for a day or two, after 3-4 hours I'm not worried my cats will mess it up. I did all the recommended prep and hope it will still look good in a couple of years.

Leave good products alone!
Would Not RecommendShame on Minwax for changing the quality of their product. I have bought many gallons of Minwax Polyurethane Clear Semi Gloss in the past. Today i went to buy another gallon and find out that you changed the label and name. Now it is called Warm Semi Gloss. I want the Clear Semi Gloss back. Why can't Manufacturers leave good products alone. You didn't improve your product... You just lost a loyal customer.

Great product for a great project!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to seal my cherry slab I poured epoxy resin over after I sealed it with the polyurethane to prevent air bubbles during the curing process!
