Would RecommendWorked great to fill gaps. It doesn’t accept stain very well if at all for me. Although it doesn’t state that anyways. It dries faster than stated on container. I wasn’t measuring the product but I’m sure I was fairly close enough and dried few minutes early. Not a big deal, just be aware and use very little at a time

Great filler and repair to timber frame
Would RecommendI needed to repair a soft and deteriorated area on a timber frame. This was a very good choice for adhesion, hardness and strength. Be prepared to move fast once hardener is mixed. Once I discovered how fast it hardened I had to adjust my application time before it started gumming up. I was able to sand down pretty soon after hardened. I have not noticed any shrinkage or cracking.

You need to use both the hardener and the putty together. It is a winning pair and is also made by Sherwin-Williams as is written on the interior directions for the putty. Top notch, worth the money.
