Ratings & Reviews for Master Lock 2-in Zinc Combination Padlock with 1-in Shackle

Don’t last long.

I’ve had 2 of these locks in 6 months and they just do not last. After a few months outdoors they will no longer work. Luckily they have both failed open and I did not need to have them cut off. I will look for another product now. Fool me twice shame on me.

Do Not Buy

I have replaced my 3rd lock in as many weeks. They got to where you can't lock them back when you can get them to open. Using them as gate lock with chain. I have been buying they for years and had the old ones last 20 years outside with oiling them once a year. Not any more if you get 30 day out of them your luck.

Great Medium Duty Padlock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Master Lock is a trusted name for high quality padlocks, and this 2" wide combination lock lives up to the Master Lock name. Good quality and it was easy to set my own combination. It should last for a long time.

Easily bypassed

Extremely easy to "pick" less than 30 seconds.

Gated and Locked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got a new fence with a garden gate and wanted to limit access to the garden space. So I tried Master Lock - 2in (51mm) Wide Set Your Own Combination Padlock with 1in (25mm) Shackle. It works perfectly, I don’t need keys for the lock and can share the combo with others as I like. I love being gated and locked for the summer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got a Saturday to put on my shed and I tell you what it works really nice it’s super easy to set. Your own combination works really really well. It is very heavy duty. Very solid construction would recommend that anyone looking for a nice combination lock that’s very solid and sturdy

Heavy duty hardiness level 6, easy to customize.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock has been perfect for the gate to my backyard. The lock was easy to set, and it is easy to maneuver the combination when locked in place. I appreciate the added security, and at a hardiness level 6, this lock provides an added level of security for peace of mind. I haven’t had it long, so the weather resistance and functionality after spring rains and Texas heat remains to be determined.

Set your own combination!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Master Lock 874DLH padlock is perfect for keeping valuable personal items safe in my assigned locker at work, and I love that I can set my own 4 digit combination (up to 10,000 possible)! This feature is much more convenient than a traditional combination dial style lock, and it eliminates the need for a key. The instructions are very easy to follow for setting a new combination, locking, and reopening. No tool is required to set and res...

Pretty good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent lock. Love that you can set your own combination. It beats running around looking for a key. He used it to lock up the lawnmower. It is really well made & easy to set. We actually want to pick up another one for the snowblower. Loved it!

Practical and sturdy

Nice quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid lock and very nice quality. The learning curve on how to use this was not strep so I quickly put it on our gate where it will provide security for our back yard entrance. Good quality and I’m glad to have this one!!

Nice lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty nice lock. It has a decent weight to it and seems pretty sturdy. The number dials feel well made but the top under the hasp is plastic, so not sure how long this will last outside. It is very easy to set and change the combination.

Strong

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Master lock 2in , and it is just what I was looking for to use at work for my locker. I have been looking for the right lock to get and this just happened to come along and I love how strong , durable it is.

Average lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This master lock combination lock is nothing special. I like that I get to set my own combo and it’s got a nice thickness to it. It was easy to set up and use. Wouldn’t recommend for older people or those with problems using their fingers.

Hasn't let me down yet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock seems to be a good quality lock. I'm usually not a fan of combination locks but with this one I have not had any issues yet so can't complain. It seems to be heavy duty and gets the job done hasn't let me down yet.

Absolutely Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a well made lock with unique benefit of combination lock and a beefy lock mechanism. I had trouble to find other combination locks large and strong enough to do the job. The combination wheels work smoothly and they are not visible to to a stranger when the lock is in use. This gets a full five stars from me.

Nice for less valuable security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to use these combo locks on the doors of my enclosed mowing trailer for convenience. Carrying a key isn't as ideal as combo locks. Problem with this lock , or the similar grade of steel on the loop, is that if someone really wants to get in with a pair of lock cutters, it's not too hard. I had a guy try to steal my trailer and cut right through them to see what was inside. Luckily he didn't steal any backpack blowers or weedeaters, or dr...

Master Locks are the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I acquired this lock to use with a chain to hold a gate closed. The shackle was large enough to fit in the chain. We needed a combination lock because there are a number of people who need access and they keep losing keys, which means I'm in constantly in the hardware store making duplicates. Now all I have to do is text them the combination if they forget, and I can change it when necessary. It is a strong lock and should hold up just fine...
