I don't know what to call it....

I don't know why I received this but i will write a brief 'review'...I have had this unit for 3 yrs now I believe....the room is 14x17 high ceilings. I called LG a couple weeks ago because we had extremely HOT weather, I live upstairs, this unit was running all the time in that room and......I had it set at 60....AND THE TEMP IN THE ROOM WAS 77.9.....I called to see if it needed freon or something cause It was just using electricity. the only thing I can say that's negative is the noise level when it runs on high. but I only used that setting when installing in the bedroom because it was 90 degrees outside and the bedroom was hot and humid. It's day 2 of having it and I'm running it on low fan setting 1 at 74 degrees. room is cool and comfortable. thank you LG for putting in more than 2 fan settings and more importantly thank you for the dehumidifier setting. Dont use Lowes in GBC, Tx and expect customer serv

I was excited about the new air conditioner. However got it home and secure in the window. Go to turn it on just to find out remote dont even work. Im just gonna deal cause its to much teouble to take it out ,and its a hassle to get Lowes to help with returns or offer information.

Upon installing unit as per setup instructions, and running for a short period of time, water was splashing through the vents on the outside back of the a/c. Removed rubber plug, bud did not help. Re -read manual, it stated the fan is supposed to pick up water to help cool condenser. Called support, (difficult to understand language) , however was told to run overnight and he will back the next day...never received a call !! Also in the morning had water splashed on a wide area on the back hou...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great AC unit , no complaints , it definitely cools down my whole apartment and I have it set up in my bedroom within my 1 bedroom apartment . It would’ve been nice to have received the warranty details up front , I never received any of the warranties or what was included at all until now .

Worked for a few days

Very quiet while it worked. After a few days it tripped a circuit breaker and started making a high pitched noise. Water started pouring out from the bottom and my wife and I had to scramble to save our hardwood floor. Despite all that it was so quiet I'm going to give it another try and order another one.

Easy to install, practical, and efficient

We have had this unit as our emergency back up since 2017 after our 20+ yr old homes central air system went out. We used it for several months then, while we saved to cash flow a complete install of central air system. Since then we store it in the garage and have used it at least once a year for a few days and weeks at most due to made weather, power outages or other circumstances. We power it with a 9000W HB Predator Generator. It cools our main bedroom with ease.

Very Pleased

Installed this unit in my living room and it cools down the entire thing and I can feel the cooler air into the kitchen as well. Home is not open concept so the cooling is felt in two rooms.

Very nice 8000 BTU Window Unit

I've owned around a dozen window units over the last forty years and this one is one of the best, if not THE best-behaving unit I have ever used. One aspect that is usually a pain is the ECO setting, where the unit reaches a temp and the unit cuts off and then cuts on after the temp goes up in the room. Many units have such a wide range from off to on and back off again, they are useless. This unit has a nice two or three-degree range AND varies its output accordingly depending on the demand.....

LG 8000 BTU Model LW8016ER

Only had this Airconditioner for 3 years. Already not working well if 80+ degrees. Works like a 5000 btu right now. Clean filter regularly. Only use in summer.

Best air conditioner ever!

I bought this to replace a similar 4 year old unit. This one is quieter and keeps my entire 350 ft apartment comfortable even in 90* heat. No wifi or frills. Just a great basic unit.

do not recommend

I purchased this model on Feb. 21, 2024. On June 19th it shorted out and nearly caught my room on fire. Filled the room with smoke, hubby tore part of the wall down to make sure it didn't extend to interior of wall.( it didn't, praise God) Less than 4 months old, could have been catastrophic.
