What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the rocks for enhancing outdoor spaces with beautiful multicolored patterns that create polished focal points in gardens and landscaping. Most appreciate the convenience of pre-packaged rocks, which eliminate the need to shovel, sort, or move heavy loose stones. Reviewers note that while bags are heavy, using a cart or wheelbarrow makes handling straightforward. Many find the visual variety complements outdoor decor effectively. A few mention subjective preferences, but these reflect personal taste rather than product issues. Overall, customers consider the rocks a practical, attractive solution for DIY landscaping projects.

Best in Show
Would RecommendIt seems strange to review a product like this, but I also used a competitor equivalent. This is the one whether you use it for fill or as a visible part of your landscaping. I used it as both. The colors are more vivid than what I've seen in the competition. For landscaping purposes, that's what I wanted. The texture is sharp and visually appealing. It leaves a smooth coverage but it is sharp underfoot. Use it to surround a paver (or in other landscaping), but not in place of a paver.

Horrible Delivery
Would Not RecommendWrote instrustructions on where to place the 45 bags of rock. Delivered in a location FAR from where I asked. Driver didn't come back as stated by a manager I spoke to. Had to move 45 bags of rock myself.

Rock is beautiful
Would RecommendI ordered online and then picked up. The rock is exactly what I needed and was easy to install. Pickup is so convenient! The Lowe’s employee was prompt and helpful.

Different rocks.
Bought 2 sets of these rocks at two different times. Redoing our front with rock instead of mulch. The 2nd set are completely different. A lot larger and different colors.

Very dirty in the bag, smaller than expected
Would Not RecommendI ordered these online. They are very dirty. I had to thoroughly wash them which was very difficult to do for the small project I had. I bought bags because I thought I'd be able to open them up and use them. A lot of the rocks in the bag are very small as well.

Quality has sunk like a rock
Would Not RecommendThe quality of all the stone carried by Lowes has become terrible. My guess is that they have changed suppliers. This rainbow rock used to be a very nice colorful mixture of washed golf ball sized smooth river pebbles. It is now a non-washed, low quality mixture of half smooth/half crushed rock that is barely washed resulting in dust (or mud when Lowes lets the bags get wet) and sand/dirt/tiny rock fragments. I am sourcing my stone elsewhere.
