What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this battery-powered trimmer and edger as powerful, lightweight, and versatile for homeowners of all abilities. Most highlight its ease of use, comfortable adjustable design, and effective dual functionality for trimming and edging. The lightweight build, intuitive controls, 90-degree pivot capability, and ergonomic handle make it effortless to operate, even for older adults and those new to yard maintenance. Despite its compact size, reviewers report strong cutting power handling thick weeds and dense edges, with a 12-inch cutting swath and fast-charging battery delivering excellent runtime. Most find assembly straightforward and consider it outstanding value. A few note the manual string spool extension is inconvenient, and some experienced minor issues with head locking, but these concerns are rare and do not diminish overall satisfaction.

Would Not RecommendThe run button has really given me trouble and now it is stuck in the locked run position.
Not good-would not recommend
Would Not RecommendI'm not sure who is giving this weedeater high reviews my experience has not been good at all. Other than it being versatile I would say it doesn't have enough power to trim efficiently and the battery does not stay charged long enough for me to do all my property which is not a very big property at all (standard in town lot). The weedeater cord does not self feed like it's supposed to it gets tangled it's just been a big hassle. I keep telling myself it's not that bad and giving a chance after ...
Terrible even for electric
Would Not RecommendWorst electric weed eater

Started smoking
Good weed eater but it did start smoking and now won’t work. Refund in progress but good value for what you pay for. Been using kobalt for many years so not really hung up on the situation. Apparently there’s a recall on kobalt yard electric tools so buyer beware and be ready.
Lightweight but strong.
Great combo trimmer/edger. Versatile yet compact, great for any job.

No Bumper Head
Would Not RecommendI have never seen a weed /grass trimmer WITHOUT a string feed bumper head so I didn’t notice until after assembling . According to directions : Remove battery (safety precaution) , turn trimmer upside down. Push button and manually pull the two lines of string to lengthen. I have a lot of retaining wall so this isn’t happening.
Fantastic trimmer for homeowner use
Would RecommendExcellent cutting even with .065 line. Good battery life. Light weight, adjustable handle & head for user comfort. Auto line advance. Rotating edger w/whéels. Tackles big stuff, just go slow. Cons: Shaft tends to rotate while in use. Spool cap hard to rememove for line replacement. I do recommend

Exceptional Product and Price
Would RecommendMy Kobalt 12-in Telescopic Shaft Battery String Trimmer Edger works better than my electric trimmer that it replaced. I love that the trimming head pivots with its wheels to make edging a breeze.

battery life is good
Would RecommendLight weight, adjustments allow it to be balanced for different users. A button on the handle to advance the line would be great.

Great price for tool with batteries, charger
Would RecommendGood price and features. Have had a Kobalt leaf blower for 3 years and very satisfied. Assembly instructions a little unclear, but once deciphered fairly easy.

worked once
Would Not RecommendUsed one time before it wouldn't work. Pulled trigger and nothing. Not worth buying to have to get all the pieces back together just to to return it. Disappointing because it would be a great multiuse device to have.
Adjustable
Would RecommendLike that I can adjust the length of the handle. I am short.
