Bought this to replace an older cobalt weed eater. Noticed they’ve made some improvements on reloading the string, big improvement. Our. older one worked great for many years and we’re very pleased with it

Easy to use

I bought this for my wife a few weeks ago and she loves it. No more pull starting. It is light enough for her to use for the entire battery life. The battery recharges pretty quickly. Runs quiet and is easy to operate. Cuts well and feeds string properly.

Easy to use and not heavy

Better than my previous trimmer

This is actually a replacement for a kobalt 24 volt string trimmer which I had for over 2 years and hated!!! But since I already have a 40 volt Kobalt mower the 40 volt trimmer was a perfect upgrade. The weight is distributed better, plenty of power, easy balance but the best feature of all ... The quick rewind when having to replace the line! I just feel this is such a better unit than the 24 volt trimmer. The cost of the 4ah battery alone covered the cost of the trimmer. Good value of you...

Ok but won't do the job

I have had this weed trimmer for bout 2 months and I thought it would be better than my old Greenworks 40V but its not. PRO's: Lightweight Easy Assembly CON's: The motor is not very strong and will take forever to do the job

It started loosing power after about 15 minutes. For less money I could have bought a gas unit that would do what I wanted done.

Disappointing

Prior reviews show its powerful but it barely cut anything on a fully charged battery.

Great electric whack-er

Works great, lasts about an hour, the reloading of the line is VERY easy! I recommmend

First battery power trimmer, balance is great and cuts extremely well.

The string doesn't break near as bad of my Stihl string. I have put it thru some tuff weeds and it seems to do really good. My son took it to our overgrown farm and used it on some pretty thick stuff and it did great!!!! The battery life seems to hold as expected. Maybe a little better than stated on the instructions overall I am very pleased with this purchase

Worst string trimmer I have ever used

Do NOT buy this product, or any other Kobalt product. They do NOT last very long, are NOT sturdy and durable, and many of the plastic parts break easily. First, the cap on the line spool broke. Then the clip that holds the battery in place broke. The spooler does NOT feed the line as described, and is frustrating enough to work with that it would make a preacher curse. Buy ANT other brand than Kobalt.

1/2 Acre of lawn & Big Trees

For 35 years I’ve used a corded Craftman leaf blower for a 1/12 acre city lot with one big Silver Maple tree. Used it once a week or two to blow off grass clippings and leaves in the fall. Building my Kobalt Battery Tool Collection

Bought this product as I have been completely satisfied with the Kobalt hedge trimmers I previously purchased so I could better take care of my yard. My husband has a hard time keeping up with all the trimming with his heavier gas trimmers. Hoping this product will be light and easy for me to use - just like the hedge trimmers!

too hard to load string

I have had my trimmer for 2 years and while it trims well and has worked for me, I cannot load the string myself so I called my neighbor. It took him at least 30 minutes or longer to load the string himself. I am 69 years old and like to be independent without asking for too much help. This is very hard though. Wish someone would look into redesigning or something to make it easier to load the string.
