Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt Gen4 40-volt 15-in Straight Shaft Attachment Capable Battery String Trimmer Edger Conversion Capable 4.0 Ah (Battery Included) (Charger Included)

Nice Product

Purchased last month used it 3 times now and works as it should

Great value and reliable machine

This is a good product. Reliable and easy to use. Highly recommend buying one.

terrible

the battery powered week eater works great, but it wont hold string in it so worthless. I followed the directions, I looked at youtube videos to make sure I wasn't loading it incorrectly and I did exactly as it says. sometimes it stays perfectly fine and sometimes the entire string shoots out of it after it takes 15 minutes to load because you have to push the button down everytime you want to turn and coil it up (according to the directions). and the "Kobalt"string they sell at lowes right b...

Experience sucked

Didn’t come with all the parts or instructions.. and box was missing the whole top

Big time performance at a reasonable price

Kobalt makes two different models of 40V weed trimmer, this one and the model with the motor directly on top of the trimmer head itself. The one with the motor on top of the head is much easier to find reviews for, but this one has at least one major advantage over that one, and that is that this trimmer has the drive motor above the handle, putting it behind anyone operating it. Since this is a rear motor machine, the weight there tends to help with the balance of the trimmer head extending out...

I have not had an opportunity to use the tool yet. This review is regarding the packaging. It appears this was an open box item, all pieces were loose within the box. All items appear to be present. The box was a two-piece generic brown cardboard box heavily taped up. I wish I would have been informed it was an open box item purchase. Not what I expected from Lowe’s.

Never showed up

Was really excited about getting this. Kept getting delayed. Then it said it was delivered and never was. Come to find out it was sent back to origin. They placed it on reorder for me and now it’s on back order with no ETA on getting it.

Not worth it

I ordered this for a birthday gift for my mom. I had issues with delivery. First they said it would take a week to arrive, then they changed my delivery date without notifying me. When the product didn’t arrive, I checked the tracking and my order had been returned and cancelled again without notification or explanation. I had to reach out to support myself to get answers and was told that the product was damaged and my order was cancelled. Not exchanged. Just cancelled. But my mom really wanted...

I had this item delivered the first time, it came with box completely damaged and obviously retaped numerous times, missing a important part, I returned it to the Webster, ny Lowe’s, ordered again to be delivered to the same store only to have them try to give me the same one I returned, then told the item was discontinued, I will say the help was very helpful though

Better than expected

I was hesitant to buy an electric weed eater. But I have used it a few times now and am impressed with the performance.
