The light would not turn off unless the battery cap was unscrewed and the switch would not turn it off or change settings. I took it back to Lowe's and asked for an exchange or refund. The manager would not do either and advised that I needed to contact Kobalt to get a return authorization number, even after I pointed out that it says "lifetime warranty" on the web page.
