This tile saw performs well for small to medium-sized DIY projects, cleanly cutting through various tile materials. Users praised its ease of use and convenient water reservoir. However, some noted limitations with larger tiles or issues with the rip fence alignment. Good saw for the money

This saw does an excellent job until the blade gets dull. Easy clean up and operation. Should last for years.

Good stable saw. Simple to use.

Would Recommend

A good buy for DIY or small business. Showed my wife how to use it and she cut the tiles for our utility and bathroom. Laser is helpful to keep the water spray down.

Excellent tool

Would Recommend

Having never used a tile saw before, I was unsure of what to buy for use in a bathroom renovation. After some research and guidance from the Lowe's staff I settled on this model. I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. Relatively lightweight, easy to learn to use and cuts like a champ. I gave it only four stars because I'm sure there is some shortcoming for heavier uses, but it's a perfect choice for a small project do-it-yourselfer.

Not good

The fince design is poor the cuts are very hard to make with this saw... i could not stand it any longer got rid of it and bought another brand. Much happier now.... Wasted a lot of tile on this thing... poor design.

Good saw for the money

Would Recommend

The saw cuts tile smoothly without bogging down. Every wet saw sprays a little water when cutting and this saw did not spray anymore then high end saws that i have used. The rip fense is not very accurate and needs a to be aligned every time to make sure that the cut is square. The laser light is nice and allows free hand cuts to be accurate enough to skilp the rip fense all together. The work light is not useful at all. Overall, setting up and cleaning up the saw was easy. For the money, it is ...

Impressive Design

Would Recommend

The light and laser are pretty pointless, but the overall design is amazing (I noticed this first, being a mechanical engineer) . I really like how the saw blade is just submerged in the water instead of using a water pump, this way you never have to worry about replacing a pump on the saw. It's really strong and never bogged down on me. Overall a great quality, will last for years to come!

Hoped for more from a Kobalt product

Would Not Recommend

I have many Kobalt tools and expected this product to be higher quality than it actually is. It's about average compared to other table top tile saws. But, the attention to detail on the build is below the normal quality. The fence is not self-squaring; not too uncommon on an inexpensive tile saw, but for $189 one expects at least an attempt that gets you close. Instead of self-squaring, the fence needs to be aligned with the ruler on the front back of the table. HOWEVER, the tapes don't match: ...

FAIR TO MIDDLIN

Would Not Recommend

I have used professional grade saws and this felt cheap and rickety. Not the worst though. Rulers at front and back not aligned so had to subtract 1/8 in or 3.2mm from the ruler in back to achieve square cuts. Big pain. Cannot miter small pieces. They will fall down into the blade slot. Not wide enough to use the angle guide attached to the rip fence to cut a 12 in tile on the diagonal. Had to use the laser and a steady hand with rip fence removed. Very hard and no room for error if trying to do...

Handy to have!

Would Recommend

You know how it goes...you want to "rent" a tile saw for a day just to do a small project (in this case a kitchen backsplash)? Well I don't know about you but my "day" projects have a nasty habit of turning into PROJECTS rather than projects! This time was no different. What WAS different was making the decision to purchase this tile saw. The compact design makes it ideal for placing on a countertop to use as a workspace. I was using it to cut mosaic tiles of various types (glass and stone) and ...

Worked good for me

Would Recommend

I began remodeling my bathrooms this weekend. I started with the small 1/2 bath downstairs since this is my first time installing tile. First off, if your familiar with a table saw and are a fairly advanced do-it-yourselfer this saw will work fine for you. The fence is junk for the most part, since it will move on the out-feed end no matter how tight you screw it down. This is easily fixed with a small Irwin quick clamp positioned behind the fence so it wont slide. It comes with a laser guide an...

Good value item for the novice tile cutter

Would Recommend

After reading many of the reviews and speaking with Customer Service, I chose this model over the less expensive competition. It is a good unit but it does have its limitations. Special care needs to be taken when setting the guides. Practice makes a better cutter; perfect is a little much to expect. Watch for chips at the end of a cut; plan ahead-cut a little from the reverse side to prevent that. The motor has plenty of power to handle the most common tile thickness. Reservoir for the water co...

Has a hard time getting through a 12 inch tile, you really have to push it towards the end. All in all its not a very good tile saw..there are cheaper ones that work better.

For one use only

Would Recommend

This saw is for one use only. Cutting floor tile where all of your cuts will be hidden under shoe mould or behind a vanity. If you are planning on having cut tile exposed than go for a better tile saw. The laser on this saw is worthless don't waste your money buying batteries for it. Wear beat up clothing and prepare to get wet because this thing spits water like crazy. Every time I used it the lower half of my shirt was drenched. The fence is very difficult to use make sure you have a carpenter...

Excellent saw

Would Recommend

This saw is definitely worth the money. My husband borrowed the cheaper saw Lowe's sells from our neighbor and had nothing but problems it wouldn't cut straight, and the times were chipping. So we went and bought this one, he had the tiles cut for our bathroom in about an hour and hat no problems whatsoever. Good quality.

First attempt at tiling and purchased saw based on reviews. The saw actually did a great job. Cutting the tile was the easiest thing of the whole project.
