Would Not RecommendI called customer service @ Kobalt/Lowes and provided the rep the model number of weed eater that I have KST 140XB-06 / item number 623439. I was assured that the part number that he was providing would be compatible. It’s not!! The part that bumps the ground is similar BUT the part that attaches to the weed eater is not even close. Mine has an opening where it encompasses the spring. The one that I was told to buy does not. I’m frustrated that Kobalt/Lowes does not carry sufficient replacement...

Would Not RecommendI have a Kobalt kst1040b-03. This head is NOT a direct replacement it screws on , the Kobalt has a square shaft, And it doesn’t auto feed out. I wanted to stay with Kobalt after Dewalt screwed me when they stoped supporting their equipment, I guess I have to rethink this. Very disappointed.

Well I received it I opened it up it looked fine said it would take two minutes to install took a little bit longer than that but You tapped the bump and it should automatically feed it isn't and it hasn't so I've got to take it take it apart pull the string out cut it and then put it back together so I can use it the problem is when they strung the string they did not do it properly And it won't feed so I'm thinking about returning it

Lowes doesn’t care about customers offering online
Listed on Lowe’s website as a replacement head for Kobalt 80 volt string trimmer. Package came and was identified as a replacement head for Greenworks string trimmer. It is not compatible for the Kobalt trimmer. Waste of time and money. I also purchased a Kobalt mower and they don’t have replacement parts for it other than the battery and they don’t even make the mower anymore. I am done with Kobalt tools from Lowes. Get EGO products instead.

Fit my older 80v trimmer
Would RecommendThis 'universal' head fit my older model Kobalt KST 140XB-06 80v trimmer. It doesn't look 100% identical to the orignal head but it spun on without a problem and my old trimmer is back to full function.

Would Not RecommendThis is not universal in any way. It is only for older models of the 80V Kobalt string trimmer. It will not fit their latest 80V models or any other Kobalt string trimmers. Making that clear would save a lot of returns.
