What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this tool for dramatically simplifying residential electrical work, particularly for stripping NM cable and replacing three to four separate tools. Most highlight its time-saving efficiency, one-handed operation even with gloves, and compact magnetic design. Many find it intuitive after a brief learning curve and appreciate the wire nut tightening feature. Some note it performs less effectively with 12-gauge wire or in confined spaces, and a few find it awkward compared to traditional methods. Overall, reviewers consider it a worthwhile, cost-effective addition to their toolkit.

This cable ripper works awesome! Way better than the way I use to cut Romex.

Fails to strip 14 gauge wire.
Would Not RecommendThe unit I received fails to strip 14 gauge wire from a 14-2 Romex.
Cut a rug
Would RecommendHandy little tool that makes stripping NM cable quick and easy. It removes the outer jacket cleanly and saves time compared with using a knife for every cable.

Issue at self checkout.
Both products, 12/2 wire and electrical stripping tool worked well. Only issue was at checkout. I tried using self checkout. I had a Lowe’s employee help. The screen showed it recognized me as a military veteran, but my receipt showed I did not receive any military discount. Left with my purchase. Needed to get back to my house and continue repairs.

You'll be so glad you bought it
Would RecommendI thought this might be a little gimmicky and unnecessary but I was wrong. Buy it! I installed some lights with 12guage wire without it, then bought it and installed many more with it. It made the job SO much faster the second day. Quickly strips the romex and is very useful in twisting the stiff 12 guage wire. It holds the nut so you don't drop it and provides a much easier experience via simple mechanics. It was well worth $10.
