Cheaply Made, Unreliable Accuracy
Would Not RecommendThis pinless moisture detector is cheap to say the least. Don't expect it to hold up in your tool bag, it's built like a kid's toy. And the accuracy...I compared some findings with moisture detection from a very high quality and accurate moisture detector with pins, and it was really bad. Don't expect much accuracy. And for the price....a rip off. I'd return it but I can't find the packaging or receipt.

An affordable Moisture Meter
Would RecommendI need a good way to know whether wood is dry enough to build with without it cracking, splitting, and/or warping. The Orion® 930 meter was recommended, but at over $500 that was not in the cards. But this small meter can check soft and hardwoods, sheet rock, and masonry. Plus, no pins that need to be driven into the wood. Once I work my way up to live edge slabs, then I will get the Orion® 930.
