Hot Garbage - Terrible Design

Bought this as a replacement for our 20yr old dishwasher because we wanted something quiet. It’s quiet, and that’s the end of the positives. The middle rack design is inherently flawed—the bowls section specifically. There are three under support bars and the middle one is elevated, creating a triangular roof shape upon which you are expected to set the bowls. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher cleans dishes very well and very quietly. Many dishes had accumulated layers of dust. It holds a lot of dishes, utensils and cookware. I'm very pleased. The auto door opening feature is a bonus.

Upgrade after replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced an 18 year old Kitchenaid with this model. Install went smoothly with no issues. Operation is very quiet, features such as auto door opening work well. Capacity is significantly higher than the old unit and wash quality is also better. Mechanical design much different than the old unit and it will take time to see if durability is there. Overall good experience after a few weeks of use.

I cannot put anywhere near the utensils in the bottom rack because they have shortened the rack. It no longer reaches end to end. It slides around when I open the door every time. It cleans well, dries well and is quiet. I did not have a filter to clean on my old dishwasher so having one now is a nuisance. I rinse all my dishes before they go in anyway so have not...

Works well enough, Meh design features

Rack design and how it handles wine glasses, bowls,and silverware could be better. 3rd shelf (silverware) is designed strangely. The shelves do not slide out very smoothly; they bind somewhat. It could be that i have a Meile in my other home, which is a completely different pricepoint, so perhaps my expectyations are too high. I will say this unit is SUPER QUIET!!

Very happy, overall

Was surprised that, when I pulled out the top utensil/cup rack for the first time, that I pulled it off its runners. Turns out there’s a plastic flip cover on the front end of each runner track that you can purposely open and close. Also, that top rack doesn’t glide out very smoothly and you have to grab the maroon handle for the best opening feeling. About the load option b...

I think the previous machine cleaned a little better, but this one does an adequate job. I thought my previous machine was relatively quiet, but this machine can barely be heard standing right in front of it. The controls are somewhat different from my previous machine, so there's a learning curve discovering how each selection works. ...

Great features! Outperforms its competitors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Kitchen Aid model outperforms GE Profile, Bosch, and Miele. I have owned all of these major brands. This Kitchen Aid model does an excellent job of cleaning and drying. It is really quiet. And it has a very cool feature not seen on any other models I have owned. The cool feature is that the door opens slightly when the cycle is complete. No more questions “did I turn on the dishwasher before bedtime”

Great rack design & position

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Upper most rack of the dishwasher, the third rack, is the best design I’ve ever seen. I am actually able to put serving utensils, and cooking utensils of any size up there. I have not had to, as of yet, to adjust the height of the middle rack to fit my extra large dinner, dishes. I have always had to do this. With other dishwashers. I have gone.

Dish washer tray additions

Miss the full third rack

Very Quiet!
