What Customers Are Saying

The dishwasher has a quiet operation and good cleaning performance, with a versatile top two racks and a helpful third rack. However, the bottom rack is described as flimsy and unable to hold dishes securely, significantly reducing the overall loading capacity. Some customers also experienced issues with the automatic door-opening drying feature and the lack of indicators for rinse aid and salt levels. Despite these drawbacks, many loyal customers are willing to make the dishwasher work for them, though they express disappointment that the design flaw was not addressed.

So quiet!

Would Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are really impressed with this panel-ready dishwasher. It is very quiet and we love that it projects the time remaining in the cycle onto the floor so you know when it will be finished. The racks are well thought out with plenty of capacity.

Failing after just 4 years

Would Not Recommend

We've owned this dishwasher for 4 years now. In the last 6 months a loud noise has developed when it runs. A pump is failing. Researching, this seems to be a common problem. So disappointed. We bought KitchenAid because our previous one lasted decades. Four years is all we got on this one.

Never use Lowes installation or buy at Lowe's

Would Not Recommend

We bought our dishwasher at Lowe's and got it installed by Lowe's. It was crooked and damaged, but we didn't realize it until over a year later. The installer used cement screws and made new holes in several areas of the dishwasher. He bent the dishwasher and damaged the front. The only thing Toby, the assistant manager, suggested was buying another one. Lowes should check how much we have spent at their stores over the last 30 years. You lost a very loyal customer!

I love the sleek counter depth style.

We love our dishwasher. The information and user guides left a lot to be desired. We have had ours for 16 months before we discovered how the air dry even was suppose to work. I kept complaining to my hubby nothing was drying. The door never popped open, then one day I came home and door was popped open and would not close. We said oh that is how it is suppose to work. Manual never explained how it worked or how to troubleshoot. Had to reset with by turning breaker off. Called for repair ...

Happy with our purchace

Would Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this 3 months ago and are happy with it. It does spray the door, which is a little loud and unexpected, but in general it's a quiet dishwasher. I'm not sure that it's worth the price tag, but I like the 3rd level!

Buyers beware

Have owned for less than 4 months - what a disappointment. Almost $2,000 and has never functioned well. Excess steam comes out of the dishwasher to the point we are worried about our new kitchen - I’ve never seen anything like it. Even with the extended dry feature our dishes don’t dry well. And now… although customer service was great - we are now waiting for the contracted service provider to call us for an appointment- after less than 4 months the lever athat pushes the door open when the...

Love KitchenAid HATE the racks.

Purchased these when the heater went out on my previous panel ready that last 15 years. I absolutely HATE the new one. Nothing fits properly. Nothing, not wine glasses, not plates, not bowls. SO frustrating!

BIG problem: plates don’t fit!!!

Would Not Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIG problem: Plates will not fit on bottom rack. Can’t imagine what the designers were thinking!! Other than that, it’s very nice and quiet. But not being able to wash normal size dinner plates is a BIG Problem that can’t be ignored!!

Wanted to give this dishwasher 5-stars...

Would Not Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get my new KitchenAid panel ready dishwasher, but sadly, I'm not satisfied. There has been such a learning curve trying to load my dishes, bowls and glasses in. There never seems to be enough space for my things. I've watched the tuitorial several times and still can't fit the items in satisfactorially. The worst aspect of this new appliance has been the plastic racks that do not stay in one place; they do not lock in positi...

I wouldn't recommend purchasing if you anticipate ever requiring servicing as parts appear to be hard to come by. I was sent this dishwasher with two destroyed shelves from the factory. Kitchen aid refused to replace the lemon they sold me and told me my only option was to have it serviced. Ive now gone 5 weeks with only a bottom drawer while I wait for parts with no word on when they will be in. I'm extremely disappointed to say the least especially since it has been unusable since received and...

Extremely Disappointed

Would Not Recommend

My dishwasher arrived with significant dents and damage to the door. Unfortunately I waited until after 30 days of purchase to open the box, as the box was not damaged and my kitchen renovation was ongoing. After contacting KitchenAid / Whirlpool, I was told there was nothing they could do because 30 days had passed, even though my dishwasher had not been used and arrived damaged. This damage may impact the ability to add a custom front panel and will be visible from the side even with a custom ...

Ugh

Would Not Recommend

Bought in July '25. (KDTF924PPA) By the time it was replaced because of an integral defect, (3 service visits and a lot of angst, but I could still run the original one while keeping an eye on it for leaks) in end of Sept., I had become familiar with the loading ability. Top 3rd rack is a nice addition, but the middle rack is just a mess. Bowl holder area is nice, but not enough tines to keep glassware upright. Once loaded glasses tumble, already had one break inside the dishwasher. No where to ...

So flexible it's not practible

Would Not Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I had paid more attention to how you might load dishes in the dishwasher. While this model is sold based on it's flexibility, it's not practical to load dishes on a daily basis. The second rack in particular is not well designed for loaded several days worth of dishes. When you try and use the emply slots, there is nothing to anchor the dishes in place. Therefor they slide around when opened and closed.

Nice dishwasher but poorly engineered racks

Would Not Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our 3 rack, 17 year old Miele dishwasher with this Kitchenaid. The Kitchenaid is comparable; very quiet, water softener and 3 racks. We are very pleased with the quiet but all 3 racks are not sized as advertised and the lower rack that holds dishes is so very poorly designed. It barely holds one meals worth of plates because the rack is not consistent with the space and location of the tines. The top rack is supposed to hold 6” glas...

Better get Jersey if you want it to work right.

Would Not Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first, this dishwasher was fantastic. Now that we are almost 9 months down the road, it has stopped drying our dishes regardless to how full the Jetdry dispenser is… I wonder if there isn’t either an issue with that system, or the heating element has given out. Regardless, being beholden to a requirement to use a chem ill to have an effective dishwasher is a very dirty way to do business. I wish Whirlpool/kitchenaid saint go down that road w...
