We bought a house with very dark interior paint and some localized mold spots; every room was a different color-black, dark gray, and brown. Since the house is very large and the colors were unusual, we decided to use KILZ. The painter asked for five 5-gallon buckets because the existing colors were so dark, but to our surprise, we only used three of them for the 1,400-square-me...

Every time I move somewhere new, even if I’m renting, I paint the particle boards under every sink & on the back walls under each sink. It keeps everything I don’t want away from my personal belongings I keep in there. Of course it’s great as a primer to lock away any dingy colors before I put my color of choice on top. Highly recommend! I’ve been using this for years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it all the time , just used it in a house that kids wrote with some markers on the walls so decided to go with kilz 2 and it did the job, markers did not bleed to the finish coat.

Animal stains on floor.

blocks the Stain

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to block the stains coming through the 120+ year old redwood beams is my basement. Water stains from the kitchen were almost impossible to extinguish. Kilz to the rescue.

Nice white walls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with product. Needed 1 coat to cover basement cinderblock wall that was painted by a previous owner. I was under a tight schedule as we were also getting glass block windows in the following week. Very happy I could open the old windows for ventilation. Went on easily with a roller, and followed with a brush in some spots.
