Great clamps but keep them dry.
Would RecommendThese are great clamps and exactly what I wanted for my deck project. The only reason I gave them a 3 is because I left them on the build over night and it rained, the next day they had rust on all the metal parts. I was really surprised that they didn’t hold up to the elements better than that.

Release requires a lot of pressure
it works well, but not as good as the older model I own. The release requires a lot of pressure, sometimes requiring two hands. It’s also a bit expensive. The pads secure better and aren’t likely to slide off.

Had them before
They are great, and I keeping to the collection as needed.
Tough clamp
Would RecommendPerfect for helping bolt a 2x4 to a severely bent 2x4. Applied a LOT of pressure & no problems

Irwin may be loosing it on quality control.
Would Not RecommendHave used these clamps for years in a professional working environment and have been quite happy - until after I bought these new ones. On the first job, both of them kept coming apart at the ends (which has happened after years of use). Suspect the end latch engineering and/or manufacturing has cut back some .0005 materials cost (which, of course, translates to thousands of $ manufacturing millions of units).
