Perfect for a smaller space.

I already had one of these fans…no problems.

So Disappointed

The fan has a great look. Nice dimmable feature and remote but the motor is noisy! Someone needs to tell the marketing department. It's not "whisper quiet". The motor has a droning, pulsating sound and is completely unacceptable. We had to return four fans for that very reason.

Short-lived and unreliable

The remote and receiver of this fan is fickle and short-lived. I bought three of these five years ago. One fan's light has always flickered whenever a neighbor's TV remote changes channel. Another fan's remote and receiver completely stopped working. The warranty for the remote is only one year. The fan operation itself is quiet and decent. I would not recommend this fan.

Nice fan. Install guide - not so great.

The fan itself is very nice. This is my second - same exact model now in two rooms. The install was hard for me. Part of the issue - at least for me - is I felt that the directions left a lot of room for improvement. This was especially true for the wiring - those drawings were definitely not adequate. Stylish and functional

The fan works excellently. It offers a very bright light and a stylish look in any room you put it in. It maintains a low profile so it is close to the wall and not a problem for tall people.

Fan has some great features

Dempsey Noble Bronze is a nice alternative to the matte black housing, being that a lighter bronze or a gold was not available. Noise is not really noticeable on the low or medium speed and the airflow is more than efficient at these speeds. On the high speed, the noise is noticeable, but in most cases we don't need the high speed to cool down the den adequately. The brightness meets our needs in that room.

Don’t hire Lowe’s to install a fan

I paid for someone to install the fan we bought. However, we needed a new junction box and the installer was not an electrician, so he could not do it.

Great Hunter fan that is well worth the proce

Extremely quiet 3 speed fan that looks better in person than in the pictures of the Hunter Dempsey fan online. Liked it though that we bought 2 more Dempsey ceiling fans in the next size larger for our living room.

Love the clean lines. Strong fan!

We picked up our ceiling fans and were hoping to be able to set up installation at customer service. We were told that we would have to repurchase the fans and then set up installation. Customer service refunded the original purchase and then we were not able to purchase those fans because they were ordered online even though the fans were right there with us. This seems very inefficient. As a result, we are now reordering the fans online and adding installation. Quite inconvenient in my opinion...

Does not come with remote cradle

Purchased May 6 2026 - This does NOT come with the remote control cradle like the installation manual online shows. Makes it very difficult to leave the fan on and turn the light on and off as you enter/leave the room if you have to hunt for the remote in the dark. I am hoping Lowe's will make good on this and help us get a cradle. Otherwise, the fan is great and very quiet. Nice Fan - Glass Globe Broken

So the installation went well. All the screws were small. Not a big deal but surprising. Even the electrical connections were relatively easy. However, I did not discover the glass globe was broken until I already had the installation complete. It operates as it should and I am hoping they will send me a new globe without having to return the fan. There are FED-X Ground labels on the box, which would explain why the glass is broken. They could break a steel box.

Dempsey Low Profile 44 inch with Remote

Installation was relatively easy, fan runs very quiet. The remote control seems a bit temperamental, it doesn't always respond to the first push of a selected button. At times, I had to hold the remote up high pointing it directly at the top of the fan to get it to run on high speed. Also does not always want to shut off the lights in the first couple clicks.

Tricky but great ceiling fan

A little complicated to install, but once installed, it's great. Can be used with remote or wall switches but we couldn't figure out how to make it work with both, so we picked the remote. If you use the wall switches, we couldn't figure out how you'd change the fan speeds or turn fan on without light and vice versa. Nice clean look and doesn't rattle or jiggle at all when on highest speed.

Very easy install. It’s simple yet modern for our bedrooms. Perfect size too.
