I was going to buy a few of this model and a few of the Avia II for our home that we just recently did a complete remodel. I was sold on the whisper quiet feature, but seems that is not the reality. Glad I saw this before I made a major mistake. Pretty sad, in the past the Hunter fans have always been good.

Nice size and style for the room however it wobbles

Hunter, Dempsey 44" ceiling fan..I'm not happy

I purchased the Hunter fan within the last month or so, the fan was delivered and later installed by a qualified electrician. I paid the electrician since the fan worked. Unfortunately for me, the Hunter fan made a low "whoop, whoop" sound while operating. I then called Hunter customer service rep., who told me they would replace the fan after verifying that I paid for it recently. However, I ask Hunter rep, "who will re-install the fan"? Hunter rep. informed me that they don't warrant installa...

Annoying Humming & Remote Not Great

You need to press the remote several times before the light comes on...and the fan has an annoying hum. Since it's in the bedroom office, it's particularly annoying. I may return it if I can.

Slight motor hum.

I have six 52 inch Hunter fans in my house that have been running for 25 years, two of which run 24/7. These fans run totally silent so I was surprised to hear motor hum from the Dempsey 44 inch fan. Everything else was fine so I still recommend it.

Not bad / Not great

The fan and the light both work great but the fan has a constant hum. Also, it would be nice if there was a bracket for the remote to mount on the wall.

Very nice fan and light

The fan is working very well. It took 90 minutes to install, I did the install myself.

A great value and very stylish!

Perfect price, size and style for my daughters' rooms. We bought 2 and were easy to install (once we upgraded the ceiling box to a fan-rated box for 70 lbs). Daughters have loved them and the fans have helped keep them cool in that saddle time between "AC-time" and the final cooling off of summer. Looking forward to the savings in heat come winter!

Good fan for the price

We bought a Dempsey for a guest room. It’s very quiet and has OK air flow but it is a small 44inch fan which might explain the airflow. It is sturdy and the light is good. We like that the remote shows the three speeds so you know which speed you’re choosing. I wouldn’t say it’s stylish in appearance (it’s bulky-looking) but it works for what we need it for. It’s a good fan for the price.

Squeak and hum.

I can hear the hum and squeak of this ALL NIGHT LONG. I have always liked Hunter but not after this. I do not recommend this fan.

Motor too noisy for sleeping

After getting the fan hung, we noticed the motor noise. We carefully balanced the fan per the instructions. The noise decreased but it's still too noisy to sleep with. It's not a steady hum (white noise), but a hum that goes up and down. We tried it for several nights but it keeps us awake. We're taking it back.

Great fan, poor Lowes delivery and installation

The fan is great, powerful enough for bedrooms, including a master bedroom. Poor delivery - the remotes all had expired batteries. Lowe’s installation was a nightmare !

It’s ok

It is in controlled by remote. Instructions were not as clear as they could have been. Thankfully there was a YouTube video someone made. It was missing a washer for the fan blade screws. The only brace that it came with was for a slanted ceiling. I wish I had done my homework better.
