Fan is fine but switching direction of fan requires a ladder. My former Hampton Bay fan's direction switch could be moved with a yardstick while standing on floor.

This product was purchased and installed indoor of a residential home. They way the pull chain for the fan weaves through the light makes it nearly impossible to turn the fan on. The chain comes out of the main body of the fan, feeds through an eyelet on the light, then through an eyelet on the stem then through the end piece that holds the shade on. And these are not all in a line, they make the chain go through different angles. Only problem is the way the glass dome is a bit if a pain to put on it’s supported by a piece of plastic not a bolt like the smaller model so a little hard to get straight

Quiet Fan - I use the same model number as the fan they quit working. I had wished the new blades had been as dark as the old fan. The globe was more of the plain white. The older fan same model number does not look as good quality as the original fan.

Fan arrived with broken glass globe

The fan itself is substantial and works fine. When the box was opened, we discovered a broken half globe that hides the bulbs and bulb housing. We continued installation as the instructions provided a number to get a replacement part rather than returning the fan. The fan was installed and working fine. We called the parts telephone # to learn the model is discontinued by the manufacturer. Not sure why Lowes is still selling them. So far we have been unable to get a reasonably priced replace...

I have purchased 7 of these in the last 60-days. I had to return 4 of them because the motors were too noisy. I will never work with Hunter customer service again... they will tell you the blades are not level/balanced. they'll send you some capacitor componet and you'll have to uninstall the fan to install it. Trust me, you do not want desire 3 fans and mount 7 fans just to get 3 that work. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A HUNTER FAN AGAIN

High speed only

High speed only really moves air and does so with a lot of noise from the air moving and moving things like curtains and sheets. Once you take it off high it puts out very little and moves rather slow even on medium. Medium on this fan is like low on the other eight fans I have right now. Then low is almost like as slow as possible. We took down a out of date working fan and this one moves more air on high but you have to use it on high or its useless. Light kit did not match specifications

The light kit did not match the specifications. The product specifications said there were three light bulbs in the light kit, but there were only two. This leaves my living room very dark.

Beware of receiving "returned" items

Our contract says we were shipped a "returned" item. Once the fan was installed, it vibrated and shook at medium to high speeds.
