What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these fans for exceptional longevity and timeless design, with many owning units for 25 to 50 years since the 1980s with flawless operation. Reviewers consistently highlight powerful yet silent airflow, describing fans as vibration-free and the quietest on the market. The cast iron construction and substantial build quality are frequently cited as reasons these fans outlast competitors by generations. The classic aesthetic appeals to collectors and long-term owners alike. A few report occasional wobbling in newer units or minor service inconsistencies, though such issues remain rare compared to overwhelming positive feedback.

Would RecommendPut this fan on my screened deck when we built our home and it’s been 24 years and it is still going strong. No warping, no rusting and I live in the south so it has been well used. Amazing quality with Hunter fans!

The Original Hunter 52” Fan is the BEST!
Would RecommendI love my original 52” Hunter Fans (2). I had an original that I bought in 1981 and left it on the screen porch when we sold that house and I decided to add one in my front porch & replace the one on my screen porch that I put in a few years ago that just did not measure up to the original 52” Hunter standard and I am so happy I purchased these.

Simply the Best
Would RecommendI have a number of Hunter Fans (true originals) that are approaching 50 years old, and are operating perfectly. When I needed to add an additional fan to the 6 already in place, I would not consider anything other than the new "original" model, in the 4 blade configuration. It was installed professionally yesterday, and looks and performs at the same incomparable level as my other fans. It is the only choice for applications where appearance, air movement, and longevity are important.

Nice but
Would RecommendI love the hunter original as a vintage fan collector but I wish it was compatible with a school house globe

Love the fan
This is the quietest fan on the market. The only cosmetic issue is that it is mounted on a sloped ceiling and the cover at the top of the downrod does not tilt. There is a gap on the high side.
