Poor UV resistance and overall durability
Would Not RecommendThis cover was installed in a location that gets daily sun exposure, which should be OK for an outdoor weatherproof enclosure. Unfortunately, after a few years the white plastic yellowed severely and the black expansion seal started to split while also degrading to a gooey black tar that would transfer to hands and cords that came in contact. This is not the sort of quality I would typically expect from a Hubbell brand.
Bad longevity
Would Not RecommendI have several outdoor outlets that I have something always plugged into them. I've used the clear plastic covers in the past and they hold up for a few years, become brittle, break and need replacing. I thought switching to rubber would be better but these failed even more catastrophically.
