I crafted several cutting and charcuterie boards for some family members and friends. I used cherry wood and Douglas for the projects. Both woods have great grains and after shaping and fine sanding I coated them with this food grade mineral oil twice and believe me the finished projects look outstanding. I highly recommend this oil to use on your wood project that will have food sitting on them.

Great mineral oil for boards
Would RecommendI bought a cutting board a few weeks ago and it need to be treated before using it. I put several coats of mineral oil to condition the board. It penetrated very well and did not leave puddle and soaked in nicely. left a nice protective coat and i believe it will keep the moisture out.
